Clean, cute hostel less than 5 mins away from Chatuchak Weekend Market ”

I wish we stayed here longer than 1 night. It's everything we want from a hotel/ hostel in Bangkok: clean & cute (a sight for sore eyes after a 10-hour journey from Koh Chang), about 3 mins walk from a BTS station (Saphan Khwai), and less than 5 mins walk from Chatuchak Weekend Market (if you're there on a Friday night, check out the Chatuchak Friday Night Market). We took the spacious private room on 4th floor; while the bathroom isn't ensuite, you essentially have it to yourself, as there are no other rooms on that floor. The bathroom: overhead shower, shampoo & shower gel, hair dryer, no toilet bidet. Breakfast selection was simple [porridge, cereal, bread, fruits, scrambled egg (cooked beforehand), with coffee/ tea], but it was filling enough for us. There's a fridge, kettle and microwave for you to use, as well as lockers & weighing scale next to the reception. Ongoing renovation next door; work starts around 8am / 9am?

I think this place abit hard to find because grabcar drivers using google maps but can’t find it.. and then the road there is abit dark and seem abit dangerous for girls...so I won’t recommend girls to stay here but if guy tgt then should be okay cause the room, toilet all the things in the hostel are good. Only the environment there seem abit dangerous.

It was a terrible experience. The staffs must be welcoming and accommodating.”

I went to Thailand and I decided to have few hours of rest in a hostel. I booked in Yoo Yen and I nicely asked in their facebook page if I could check in early and I will also check out early. I just need a place where I can sleep for few hours. It's good that they have free breakfast and since I will check out early too, I asked the receptionist if I can have my breakfast today since I wont be around the next day. Surprisingly, she laughed at me and showed the unwillingness of assisting me. I was so hungry and sleepy at that time so I just decided to sleep instead since she doesnt care at all. I hope I can talk to other staff at that time but it seems like it is just the old woman who was there. The place is clean and their boss already apologizes to what happened. I jusy wish it wont happen to others and hopefully the boss will not have the same staff like who I had a terrible experience with. I even plan to always check in with them or recommend them but I changed my mind.

            Exceptional”

Great place, great staff, great price!! I landed in Bangkok at night time and the find the hostel easy to get to directly from the airport using public transit. The place is clean and cozy and amazing owner. I left very early the next day and forgot my passport. I only found out int the evening when checking in in my hotel in Sukhothai, which is 8 hours away by bus from Bangkok. I had not planned to head back south. The hotel staff of the Yoo yen pen sook was so amazing and mailed it back to me by expedited. I received it in less than 48 hours. It saved my holidays. :) thank you

            Photogenic and quaint hostel”

Located in a small alley that’s away from the main street. The common area indoors and outdoors have plenty of photo opportunities. Hostel is very well maintained, but do take note that there’s no lift and assess to upper floors are via steep narrow stairs. Nicely located to chatuchak, bts and big c. Our group was attended by Ann who speaks English, and was non-intrusive while helpful when needed. Highly recommend people who want to be within walking distance to chatuchak weekend market.

            A quiet stay”

The hostel is located very close to JJ market and BTS station. Personally don't find it difficult to find according to google map, it is the darkness making the door not obvious enough at night. I was attending the hostel very late on day of arrival, yet staff of hostel woke up from bed and served my need. Thank you. They were very cheerful as well and we chat a little during breakfast. It amazed me that they could actually hold cooking class for guests who would stay up to few days as the owner would like to make the hostel home like. Unfortunately I could only stay for a night. The bed and rooms were clean. Though I was not given the lower bunk which I had been promised to be reserved with, it was not as inconvenient as some travelers have described(at least I could sit in bed without pumping my head probably because I am not a tall person). The only thing I was not very satisfied was the shower room. The fixed shower head and uncovered hanger were not user friendly to me. Plus, the water pressure was low.

            Great service, great location”

Finding the hostel didn't prove to be too difficult, it's just a short walk from Saphan Khwai BTS. It's been renovated recently, and is clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, and allowed my friend to put her luggage in my room for a few hours, and I appreciate that. I was the only one in my shared room when I stayed, so I can't speak about meeting other travellers there. There is a storage box for you to safekeep your valuables, so be sure to bring along a small padlock for that. Breakfast was also provided, and though it was simple I can't complain much, seeing how little I paid for my stay here. There is a Big C nearby, and lots of lunch/dinner options if you get hungry! Really liked the decor or the hostel too, even the bathrooms were nice! Would stay again if I travel to BKK in the future.

            Nice hostel”

Very new and clean, furnishing is great, but the hostel is a bit far away from the main part of Bangkok. You can get there by skytrain or taxi, but that takes time. But since it is not in the usual tourist area, the food prices in the surrounding places are very cheap.

Stayed for 1 night in the female dorm. Beds are fine but be careful when sitting up in bed (not enough space to sit straight up). Had issues with the key card to get into the room, but it wasn't a huge issue. It's near a BTS station and the Chatuchak weekend market. Breakfast was free and consisted of toast, fruit, cereal and tea/coffee.

Good value and nice hostel for the price paid”

Second time staying here, and this time it was a pleasant stay as well. Staff is unable to speak English, so make sure you know where to go and what to do beforehand! Walking distance from Saphan Khwai BTS, lots of places to eat for breakfast/lunch around, and Big C is about 5-10 mins walk away, same for Chatuchak weekend market. Towels and clean sheets provided, and new facilities made our stay comfortable.

It's a great place to stay if you're bunking in for awhile. Though the facilities are really basic, the people here have tried their best to make it as comfortable as possible. Great review!

Clean hostel, good breakfast & underqualified staff”

We kind of have mixed opinions about this hostel! For the good part: Good location, very clean hostel, nice dorms, good breakfast (eggs, nutella, bananas, coffee, etc). For the ugly part: all of the staff members spoke 0 English. I mean absolutely no English at all. Even "hello" was a bit of a stretch for them. I don't know if they were just there temporarily or something, let's give them the benefit of the doubt, but in all the hostels I've been to in 6 years of travelling, this has got to be the #1 at "not a single word of English can be spoken/understood". I would go again if the staff gets better!

If you arrive after sunset you better skip this road. It was hard to find for me. and Not eaxcertly located in the Soi 15. everything was clean and the hostese can speak english very well. But the bunk bed was too high so you can't sit down on the bed. you're head bump on the upside bed. Women dorm is 4th floor so better not to go if you have heavy bag. But to me it was worth it(visit JJ night market on foot)
