Centrally located on Little Bourke Street, YTI Garden Hotel is set amidst Queen and Elizabeth Streets. A nice hotel, it is just a stroll away from the city's cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, major department stores, GPO shopping center, and a stone’s throw from China Town. Modernly decorated , this property offers apartment and studio accommodation completed with an LCD TV, high speed internet, private bathroom, direct dial telephone, climate controlled air conditioning, and a work station. Apart from it's excellent location, their apartments also feature splendid amenities like a room kitchen permitting guests to prepare meals within the comfort of their own rooms. Also, all the excitement of the city lies at the doorstep of the YTI Garden Hotel with entertainment venues such as Rod Laver Arena, Ethiad stadium, MCG, Melbourne Arts Center, the glamorous Southbank, and the Crown entertainment complex. Great location, basic room with everything you need. Quiet. ”
Hotel is in a good location with a short walk to China Town, South Bank etc. Rooms were basic but had everything you need including tea, coffee and milk. We only booked 4 nights but ended up staying 7 nights and managed to keep the same room. Only gripe would be the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor everytime. But Was a great powerful shower. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
Only well located, nothing else was good”
The only positive about this hotel was its location. Nothing else was particularly good, the staff was quite disinterested in helping us out and their attitude was inhospitable, whenever we asked for help. The Wifi sucked badly, didn't work and the staff kept saying "it must be because we have too many guests in the hotel today". I mean, seriously?
Great spot, great value!”
We loved our room, great layout, great condition and really clean. Staff are lovely and easy going, it's a really relaxing place and the location is fantastic. Regular refurbs will keep it comfy and welcoming, really recommend it.
Stop over ”
Was good hotel for the price and location great in the heart of the city. The two things that were disappointing; it was advertised as cable tv which I could not find, and small milks in the fridge were frozen. Only small things but worth mentioning.
Close t Skybus and Southen Cross station.”
Everything I needed a 1 night stay before my flight the following day.
Super good in every aspect”
Friendly staffs are everywhere. Location is in the city and within walking distance to all the free city tram stops. It is also within walking distance to the shopping belt area. The availability of a small kitchenette with basic utensils and cookery allowed me to cook simple meals, which helped to lower my food expense. Free wifi is also provided in the hotel. No complaints about this hotel and the stay there. Looking forward to staying there again next year when I return.
location is quite strategic”
my family and I stayed at New Year's Eve. The location is quite strategic and there are several restaurants and also a mini market in front of the hotel. just a little way to david jones and other shopping locations. The hotel room is not too small, but the hotel room is very noisy, there is talk of people from outside and next room. Overall is okay.
Hotel was exactly as advertised; clean, comfortable and safe for my solo stay. Location was fantastic as it was convenient and easy access to anywhere ... it was easy to get great food just around the corner.
This is a well located and well priced venue.”
All in all not a bad venue. The room smelled and without the air conditioning it would have been pretty disgusting, the sign it needed a root and branch clean. The fridge was either freezing it's contents or was turned off, so I. Essence a bit of work needs to be done. Nevertheless, it was an efficient stay and the bed was comfortable.
Good location and friendly staffs”
It was a pleasant stay as the staffs were friendly and nice. We had to check in late at around 1am. Exhausted from walking from the train station to the hotel, which took us nearly 20 minutes and it was hilly, they greeted and welcome us warmly. We were check in quick. The hotel is surrounded by lots of food shop and a shopping mall is located 5 minutes walk away. Chinatown is about 10 minutes walk. I highly recommend the shanghai dumpling located down the street. It was yummy. Definately will stay in this hotel in the future.
Value for Money. Great Loacation”
You might get noisy if your hotel room is facing the street as the bar/ restaurant are located downstairs of the hotel. Poor housekeeping services as i stay for 4 nights and i only requested 1 time housekeeping. But, i only able to get the services that the shampoo never refill till i got nothing to used during my shower. Conclusion, i definitely will come back if i got the same rate for this hotel.
a nice little city escapade”
- hotel was easy to miss as the entrance is only a small door. - parking was a problem for first time visitors, as it was in a neighbouring building - very near to shopping areas and Chinatown, and QVM.
Great CBD location for overnight stop”
Great choice for a less than 24 hour stopover in Melbourne, fantastic location next to Hardware lane for coffee/food options, public transport easy and close by, good value for money considering the location. Room was comfortable and clean, small but all I needed for a quick stopover. Would highly recommend it for stays in the centre of town.
A convenient hotel near to shops and theatres”
We were upgraded to a larger room called a suite but it was still quite small although the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is very convenient but slightly run down.
Very comfortable stay.”
I arrived the hotel at 10am and they allow me to check in early so that me and my child can have a good rest after travelling the 8 hour flight. My room was upgraded with no extra charges. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect to access to any shopping and eating points. Good hotel with good value.
Great hotel and cheaper price!”
City garden hotel is a very good hotel, and its very low price. Great location in the Melbourne city,only5mins to Chinatown by walking. Its not far away from hotel to Taxi service and tram stop. Easy to the trip.
Very good location with lots of nearby interesting places to explore. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. I will defintelty stay in this hotel on my next visit. Value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Great location, big room, good bed”
For me and my particular requirements this perfect. Big room, good bed, cooking facilities, crockery, nice bathroom, quiet but in the centre of town one block from Chinatown and half a block from Swanston Street...honestly what more could I want?
Great location ”
receptionists are very friendly. pleasure stay. however it seems like the room heater does not work too well. it was really cold during winter time. and the car park fees are quite expensive (you need to have your ticket validated by the hotel to get a cheaper price), weekdays a$22/fri-sun given if you do not remove your car for 24 hours. there are some road side parking just in front of the hotel and they are free from 7.30pm - 7.30am.
Loved being so close to everything in the city. Rooms weren't huge, but big enough, and very clean. Only bad thing I could say (and it's just part of being in the city) is it could get quite noisy (outside noises- the other guests were fine)
