Could choose my own yukata”
I checked in at 3:00pm, which was early enough for me to reserve a time slot for the private hot spring. I enjoyed it very much. What’s even better, I could choose my own yukata. It was an amazing experience. The staff members were nice and helpful. Just that the location was not very convenient - it took me around 20 minutes to walk from Yufuin Station to the hotel. The rest was fine.

The room was spacious and the bed was lovely! So comfortable! However, there were bugs in the room and the floor was ice cold no matter how warm the room was. You absolutely must be wearing the slippers at all times. The hotel looks a bit dated, but we were fine with that. Also, the location was a bit disappointing, it is rather far from the attractions in Yufuin, just barely within walking distance if you are fit. I would recommend this hotel for about half of the price we paid.

A nice hotel with onsen”
Staff are nice and helpful. Buffet breakfast and set dinner at the restaurant, both are delicious. Rooms are cozy and spacious. Two onsens with the same style, one for women and one for men and will be changed every night. I enjoyed my stay at Yufuin Bessou Shikisai Hotel very much and highly recommended to you all.

Lovely onsen hotel”
Hotel onsens were very traditional with pocket mountain views. Rooms were comfortable although breakfast could have a bit more variery. We stayed for two days and breakfast was exactly the same. Nearby to Kirin Lake and walking street which were main attractions at Yufuin.

Clean, spacious and comfortable”
After a hot day in town, a welcomed retreat. The hot bath was nicely built and outside. The food was excellent. Only a short 5 minute taxi ride up to near the base of the mountain. I think it's also the best western hotel in the area.

Pleasant stay but poor services ”
Location : far away from the yufuin station - (In summer, this location will make you sweat all the time) Service : No laundry service is available. No English service/menu in rooms. No kind services - (If you miss the breakfast, you will just lose it although you paid for it) Hot spring : small but pleasant - (Only thing I liked from this hotel) Room : Good Food : just okay. I didn't find any Japanese style food from here. My score for this hotel based on my payment : I will give 2 out of 5. The stay was pleasant only because I enjoyed hot spring and air conditioner in the room. Without these, it wasn't great at all.

Beautiful outdoor Onsen”
Room is spacious and the surrounding view is beautiful. The outdoor Onsen is of a good size n comfortable to stay in to enjoy. It is walking distance to the shopping street but very quiet.

Staff are nice and helpful, answered a lot of questions, even teach us how to choose yukata and how to wear. Food are nice. However, there are only 2 public (male or female ) onsen, 2 are closed. Have shuttle bus (pre booked) to the JR station.

Hotel with nice outdoor onsen pool and free choice of yukata for ladies. Breakfast is mixed both western and Japanese style, tastes quite good.

A good relaxation place to enjoy the vacation , but location is far away from JR station if you take taxi to it around 1000 yan , the service in morning is too bad as no staff are here .

A bit far from the shop and restaurant but it is a very quite place that you can enjoy and relax, the hot spring is small but outdoor and feel much more natural than any public spa, which is nice.
