Valued stay at Kii-Katsuura”
Stayed two nights at Yukai Katsuura and had a good rest here, you could enjoy not only breakfast/dinner buffet for the different foods but also the famous onsen inside/outside. The most important thing is that all staffs were friendly and helpful which made our trip very enjoyable. Not far from JR Stat and they have shuttle bus from hotel to JR Sta.

Good view of the sea from the room; toilet and sink provided, shared bath at onsen area. Outdoor overlooks the harbour and it is beautiful at night. Buffet dinner is reasonable (1,500Y) with good variety. Breakfast is good. Hotel is undergoing reno, and just a little confusing to get around.

Great hotel choice in Kii-Katsuura for short transit or longer stay”
Kii-Katsuura is a small town, and the hotel's location is about 10min walk from Kumano Kotsu bus terminal. While it is a little bit off from the center, it's not a bad walk at all to the hotel. The hotel and facilities are more than initial expectations, with great views, facilities and buffet breakfast. I especially enjoyed the do-it-yourself fish grill. Wifi is available mostly in the lobby area, but not an issue for me at all.

Pro: Shuttle bus easily arranged by tourist information offoce at JR station. Room was clean, dinner buffet food spread was great. Cons: Walkway carpet along the room corridors were worn and smelt. Time for a carpet change.

This is a hotel suitable for budget family travels. Wide range of activities. Buffet offerings were amazing. However, the hotel is basic. No frills. Everything was coin operated.

Stay here for 2 nights to explore the town and the shrine. Resort is nice and clean , room facing the sea with great views. Onsens and footbath are nice. Buffet dinner have many varieties. Great and helpful staff.

Rainy day stay but still so lovely”
Absolutely gorgeous location & such a fun hotel! Wish I wasn't a solo traveler because I would've loved to take advantage of the karaoke room. This may be one of my favorite onsens!
