Great Stay and Friendly Staff”
The room is exactly what we needed for overnight stay - cozy, clean, complete with needed items, and best of all, friendly and polite staff who were super helpful. We also loved the nice guide paper they prepared for going around Hakone. An added bonus is the Italian restaurant below, also with friendly staff and great pizza!

Great location in Hakone”
Right across from the Hakone-Yumoto station, easy access to the various buses that serve the area, and close to all the restaurants. Reasonably priced and great place just to use as a launching pad to explore the Hakone area. Walking distance to an amazing ropes course - 15 minutes away. Will definitely stay here if I ever come back to Hakone.

The staff were excellent! Able to communicate in good command of English and very helpful in assisting in our luggage. Received very warm welcome with drinks being sent to our room too. There's also nice coffee machine in the common area. Location is perfect surrounded by eateries. Had a very pleasant stay.

Great location, staff and facilities ”
Pros:This hotel has a fabulous location. The staff were wonderful and the rooms are very well equipped. Cons: the shower recess is one of the smallest I’ve ever seen and in the room I stayed in, the bed stretched from one wall to the other so I had to climb onto it. Having said that, it was beautifully comfortable. There is no lift either.

No frills hotel, but very handy for the Hakone Yumoto station, being only a 5 minute walk. Hakone is not the cheapest place in Japan, being a very touristy place, so all hotels & restaurants tend to be more expensive than most other places. However, this small guesthouse was reasonably priced & suited our needs. We wanted somewhere to leave our luggage quickly and go exploring this beautiful place. Very clean & welcoming. Small, basic room, with shower/ toilet. There is a pizza restaurant downstairs; again, not cheap, but very good food ( and there are a lack of options after 7pm in the town).

The hotel is only a very short walk from the railway station and bus stop. The staff were very welcoming on our arrival, and during our stay of three nights. The room appeared clean and tidy. I should have been more cautious when we got a separate email setting out that the size of the room. I just assumed small rooms are common in Japan. When we were taken to our room and the door was opened, we couldn't believe the overall size. When you enter via a narrow hallway short hallway, you come to the bedroom, and it was just a large bed, with a shelf at the end. We are two adults with large suitcases, that had to be left in the hallway standing upright. My wife and I had to take it in turns to get up and get dressed, as there just wasn't enough room. I am denigrating the hotel, as it is in a great location, and the staff were very friendly. I would just like those thinking of using a room on third floor, to be fully aware that size does matter.

Fantastic location just opposite the Hakone Yumoto train station. I love it that it provided pyjamas so you don't have to bring your own. Room was a little small at 14m2 but still alright. We forgot to have our welcome drinks from the shared fridge on the first night and the receptionist was nice to change our drink for the second night. However, she was not very happy about it.

Tiny but Cosy Hotel”
Excellent reception ... we came in about 8pm which is pretty late but still help us with our big luggage and serve welcome drink ... Italian restaurant downstairs which serves superb own make pizza! Room is very very small but clean with own small shower room ... only 7 rooms hotel without lift and onsen so anyone with big luggage will have slight difficulty ... onsen discount tickets available if needed .. Also provide hand make guide on Hakone area

It's a so so experience”
Location is excellent, walking diatance fromHakone Yumoto Station. Checkin time is 1630. No elevator is a little tough for old couple like us. Room is extremely small. They do lrovide self-serve coffee machine. Overall, It really is just a so so experience staying

Nice and easy”
For this hotel, Checking-in is very easy by yourself! Just use passcode in a email that will send to you when you pay already. No staff. Maybe it's uncomfortable if you want an extra service from them. BUT it's ok for me <3 Comfort is not 100% (about 97%) but all in all I accepted. When the last day I'm checking-out. I met a staff once time. She was very kind. Next time I will choose this hotel again!
