Simply awesome! ”
This ryokan is 2 stops from Yufuin and another 10mins drive from yunohira station. the shuttle service was very handy and the owner was very helpful with the luggage. He even helped to carry our heavy suitcase to the other side of the track. The area was quiet and peaceful and felt out of the world when soaking in the private outdoor onsen with a view of the trees and mountain. The food was very delicious and the room was comfortable. Most awesome was the hospitality by the owners; the lady owner taught us how to wear the yukata, showed us around the ryokan and even gave us bottled water and souvenirs before we left.

Amazing”
Old house in a small village. Typical Japanese style rooms, some with shared showers. - four beautiful private onsen. 2 indoor 2 outdoor. Availability can be seen on the tv in your room. Ryokan was fully booked during our stay but we never had a problem getting the onsen we wanted in the morning and evening. We also showered at the onsen so no shower in the room is no problem - beautiful home cooked food for breakfast and dinner. Portions and diversity of dishes amazing. Draft Asahi too! We stayed during rugby World Cup and owner even set up a big screen in restaurant for dinner. They also delayed dinner for those of us who went to the match. - owners so friendly and hospitable. It is family run and the owners really are so hospitable and generous. Stayed in so many hotels round the world but never felt so homely. Greeted every time you come back to the hotel with laughter and smiles. They are happy to assist you with any help you need during your stay in Japan

Highly Recommended !!!”
It was tremendous moments in this ryokan, especially with kindness and warm service from host, staffs and even price is very reasonable. Dinner is really great for tasting real local cuisine. And breakfast is traditional japanese home foods and great as well. Room is very clean and tide, host’s explain is good enough to understand how to use facilities. They have 4 bathing rooms( 2 inside, 2 open air ), you can check availability from the tv screen in your room. So no need to book. Pick/Drop service available, you just need to let them know your train ticket schedule. They have train time table, so You just can ask them and will get clear information. Recommend to walk around ryokan, there are many spots and small roads that is good to take a picture. For Onsen, temperature is just good for all, and great to enjoy bath. For questions. You just can ask to host. She’s really really kind. Highly recommended.!

Great kaiseki and kind service :)”
Unexpectedly, we had the MOST DELICIOUS meal at this ryokan during our trip in Japan! Both dinner and breakfast were so nice just after bath :). There are 4 kinds of private bath and we could use 3 bath during our stay (it means it is not that crowded). Staffs are all kind and you can communicate with them in English. The location is bit far from the center. You need to take train from Yufuin station to Yunohira station and it will take around 10mins. It is small and quiet village, so we had walk during the evening and morning.

Intelligent System ”
This ryokan is operated by family giving you home away from home with very traditional Japan culture. You can see their smiles truly from heart. They are very professional to suggest any interesting spots around here according to your preference. All onsens are private rooms, you dont have to wait in front of door, there's intelligent system checking in your room which onsen is available. What a wow surprise!!! Be booked in advance as always full particularly during weekends, no need says long holidays.

Nice and quiet ryokan, located up a hill and away from the busy Yufuin area. ”
Pros - quiet place. 4 onsen baths for guests. Booking ia not necessary as you can monitor occupancy of each bath in your room on your TV. We'll connected digitally. Cons- for those not driving, a bit of hassle to get to Yunohira train station which is unmanned.

Want to visit again definitly! ”
Japanese Kaiseki dinner and Breakfast were so great! while i ate food, i thought sleeping in japanese traditional house, using spa, clothe and having these food are just this price??!!! every facility was so clean and most of all, i am impressed her(owner) kindness. i left my things in ryokan. but she send me that untile next day to fukuhoka city. for me that i can not speak Japanese, she called to hotel that i slept next day! all situation happened cause of my fault. but she thought like her own business. it was enough to feel japanese culture and sentiment. also, she can speak english very well and a little korean too. i know it placed 2stops from yufuin station but, you never gonna regret to choosing here like me.

One of the best ryokans I have stayed at”
It is a small ryokan up on a hill. If you don't have a car, it's a challenge. The hosts were absolutely lovely. They delivered our luggage to our room while we were checking in. We had a chance to pick our own yukata. The host showed us how to screen for the vacant hot spring rooms from our TV. There are several hot spring rooms you can choose from when the ryokan is not busy. The kaisei meals were very good. Highly reommend this place.

Fantastic. Truely Japanese culture”
Fantastic! Excellent service, extremely polite, fantastic hotspring and fantastic food! Room comes with local breakfast and dinner. All meals are authentic food with excellent taste and look. We were looking forward for the next meal throughout our stay. There are 4 public hotspring room but you can go in and lock the door. Then it comes your own private hotspring room. Total of 7 rooms in this ryokan. We stayed in tatami style room. Room with tv, air purifier, toilet and kettle. Bed was ready after we back from dinner. Extremely clean place. All staffs are extremely polite even some only can speak little english. They are always willing to help. Recommend to everyone for a relaxing tour and away from city.

Lovely homestyle stay”
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay there. The entire place was very well run, our shuttle service to take us to and fro the train station was a good additional service else the place will be tough to reach for non drivers as the ryokan itself is located way off the nearest train station. We enjoyed the private onsen and all the kaiseki meals very much too! The owners are so polite and always helpful :)

Quite town with great hot spring and delicious Japanese style meals”
Owner are really kind and hospitality. When we drive car miss the hotel trying to reverse the car, she show up to give us helps. Reasonable price of 1 stay with 2 meals. Complete VOD system can show which hot spring room is available and explain lots of detail about this hotel and Japanese culture. Dinner and breakfast are really various and fabulous with local material. There're 4 private hot spring room with different atmosphere and good resting area. If I go to Kyushu again, I'll definitely come back again! But I suggest to add some route & parking instruction when reservation complete, since it's really hard to handle the car in a alley.

Little Gem”
We had a fantastic stay at this Ryokan. The area is beautiful and the host and family were super welcoming. It was the highlight of our two week stay in Japan. The home cooked food was fabulous and we felt like we'd had a true slice of Japanese life. We would definitely return.
