My favorite Hotel in Yangon”
Very traditionnal place Very nice staff Big rooms, large beds

In the right place”
The bedroom was huge, clean, perfectly serviced with 2 really comfortable beds. The staff were brilliant and really friendly. Air con and WiFi excellent. However.... the hotel needs a MASSIVE injection of cash. It is an old Colonial (sorry if that offends you but get over it) style hotel with huge rooms, magnificent staircases and a wonderful facade. Unfortunately it has been neglected and unsympatheticaly extended. It has sufficient grounds to establish lush gardens with a circular entrance way, along with a functional swimming pool.. It is perfectly positioned to walk 'Down Town' or to either of the famous Pogodas.

Travelling to Myanmar is restricted. Had to do a special job. This hotel was one you could book using your credit card. Most hotels demand cash

If you are FC of supernatural spirit. Try it Room 307”
The male receptionist told me that he offered me a suite which was Room #307 although I booked a normal room. He brought me and my friend there. It looked great with one queen bed and one single bed but all other furniture and everything interior were strange. Air-conditioning, water kettle and water faucet didn't work. Shower box door was broken. Still that receptionist put us in. At first water kettle handler flew away to the floor after I started boiling water. At night I couldn't sleep because their queen bed was shaking and I tried to get up which is also difficult like someone pulled legs. After I called operator that I wanted to change the room. It was midnight. They come urgently and helped me change. The hotel was an old colonial building. Owner of business should look for renovation because air-conditioning don't work properly although changing battery at remote. Both rooms #307, #306 have dust underneath carpet and smelly drainage system.

Great Family Accommodation for Lower Budget Travellers”
We stayed at the Yuzana Garden Hotel and were treated to much more than our usual travel budget allows. The hotel, while old and not highly occupied, was clean, spacious and the rooms were well appointed for a longer stay. The bathroom was large and had a bathroom a treat for children / travelling / in Asia not accustomed to baths in bathtubs. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. The staff were friendly and obviously well versed in providing 5 star service. The location was amazing - just walking distance to downtown and Boyoke Market. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

A quiet place in the middle of Downtown ”
Such a wonderful hotel. Stayed 3 Times here and would always book again. It seems you checked in in the year 1920. wonderful antiques. Super service. Great staff. The rooms are clean and spacious. You can open a window - if you like. I had always a balcony. Breakfast ist very good. 15min walking distance to the Scott Market. I really love this place. It’s my home when I am in Yangon. Thankful for this place in such a busy city likeYangon

Old colonial style hotel with bags of character, step back in time , faded grandeur at its best.”
Great value for what’s on offer here. Really enjoyed the massive bedroom with beautiful parquet flooring. We had a nice view over gardens at the front and a big balcony. The staff are all so courteous, we loved the bell boy who showed us to our room on arrival. His face lit up with a big smile every time he saw us. Doors were opened for us, all our needs were satisfied. The WiFi was okay and the lift worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, in addition to Shan soup there was vegetable noodles & rice. Great selection of fresh fruit, breads & pastries. Eggs all ways cooked fresh if you ask. We really enjoyed the banana cake & chocolate brownie. The hotel is within walking distance of the downtown sites with a great selection of restaurants nearby. My only suggestions would be to improve the water quality in the pool to make it more appealing. Also maybe just unsweetened coffee in the room but great to have use of a kettle.

great location, old hotel”
Pros: Location, location, location. Walking distance to the Yangon Central Railway station, Bogyoke market, Sule Pagoda, downtown. Many restaurants across the road. Staff were always helpful. Good value for money. Heritage building from the colonial days. Cons: Hotel building, room & facilities are old. Tip: Part of the circular train track is under renovation. Times are irregular, check in advance at the Central station. When we were there, the train was running from Central to Insein twice a day, one at 5am+ another at 4pm+. You can take a taxi back from Insein.

Excellent service”
The hotel is built in lovely colonial style, the rooms are very spacious but what makes this place exceptional is a service. I have never experienced something like that before. The staff is very helpful and kind, I felt like a VIP. The only one thing which was a bit irritable was the internet which was a bit slow and required password code invalidated each day but it is general problem in Myanmar. I can strongly recommend this place, it is impossible to find a better standard and service for such price.

Right across from the Park Royal ... at a 1/4 of the cost”
Ok... it's not a 5 star hotel but the rooms are old in an old colonial building bed very comfortable with nice linens the shower was great and powerful the place is old so bear that in mind the only complaint at this price value hotel was the old blue carpet in the rooms should take that out and refurbish the hardwood floors

A hotel in a colonial building”
This hotel is located very conveniently, close to the Shwedagon Pagoda (20-30 minutes walk), downtown (Sule Pagoda, Mahabandula Park, Bogyoke Market), Kandawgyi lake etc. The building is definitely colonial, and consequently the rooms are huge, and have an old-world charm about them, although some may feel the furniture is a bit dated. They are trying to modernise the facility, with the addition of a hip, new bar with live music, which seems to attract a trendy crowd as night rolls on. The hotel also seems to be popular with Myanmarese people getting married, as they do their photoshoot there.

Undiscovered Gem”
I'm almost loath to write this review as I don't want this place to be discovered! It is an old colonial hotel with the nicest staff in the whole world! It is just outside downtown which gives some reprieve to the smoggy intensity. There are plenty of food and drinking options very close by though. Once the hipsters find out about this place they'll be here in droves!

Good location”
Hotel is in need of a little TLC, although rooms are very large, cleanliness excellent, only a 20 min walk to downtown Yangon. Great location, next door to a music bar, and across the road are some nice restaurants.

Great place, perfect located, nice staff”
I highly recommend this hotel. Its near the Scott Market. You can walk by feet to Downtown. The Schwedagon Pagoda is not far away. Nice Restaurants are nearby. Breakfast is one of the best I had in Myanmar. Several kinds of fresh fruits, Pancakes, Mohinga - great Variation for every taste. The staff is super kind and helpful, always attentive and patient. And the rooms are spacious, well furnished, quiet, with windows you can open to breath fresh air. When you are in your room you cant imagine that you are in the middle of downtown because ist so quiet. I really love this place and will always return for a stay.

Overall was great stay”
The room is too big that you might get scare if u stay alone. For family trip the perfect place to stay. Staff - very friendly, but room service is a little bit too forward (For example : while delivering foods should ask whether the guest want them to place the food in room. They used to come inside and place the food without asking 😖) Decoration - you can feel the tradition of Myanmar. You can see all stunning art of myanmar traditions. Really nice. Food - really good. You can even have at least one kind of local food for breakfast. Location is the one of the best you can get with this price.
