From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. There is no reception counter at the property.             Sorry to have to give this a poor review as the staff were accomodating in letting us put cycles in our room. Seriously the bathroom looked FILTHY...but let's be fair the shower was hot....but you may need your bio hazard suit on before you adjust it 😂 Coway in the hall was new and functional. Rather than list the filth I shall just recommend you pick somewhere else... although maybe looking at other reviews...there are better rooms....do you risk it 😈?

            Pros: Low price rm55 per night Self check in Nearby famous yong tau fu stall and cookies shop Cons: Required transport Reach there at night time, a bit scary. No lift Room located at 3rd floor When we check in room 308, found out the door did not lock at all and towels just hanging on the stand. Not sure they are changing or not. Very noisy aircon and absorb fan Mattress at room 308 really need to change. Mattress at room 309 still OK. No TV provided and broken windows glasses.

            Really worth the low price”

            If you're looking for a simple and cheap place to stay in Ipoh, this is a good place. It has all the minimum requirements except in-room TV, but the wifi was pretty good. Nearby good food stalls and near enough to the Ipoh town center. Being an older converted shophouse, it has its quaintness which I kind of liked anyway.

            The house is 1st floor above the shop lot. clean but got lot mosquitoes, but no worry the owner has prepare the mosquitoes racket for you. Location is good, walking distance to buy the Ipoh famous Ming Yue moon cake and JJ Swiss Rolls.

            Last minute booking, checked in at 10:30pm, the receptionist was away n main door locked, the boss was kind enough to drop by at night to checked us in. Room is very spacious, bathroom too is big. Room has antique table, chairs, queensize bed, aircon, towels, wooden style standing hanger. No tv. Toilet rolls, body shampoo r provided. Water dispenser is in common area. This place actually feels more like home than a hotel.

            i stayed for a night at. Staffs were not reception. but there s ringing and phone number. when i called staff, i could check immediately. staff is no speak English, but i could barely find way to open the door with car key. main door is 24hours and walk to city center around 20 mins. a lots of local restaurant around. i d like to come back next time!

            There was no one at the reception the whole time so we had to call during check in and check out period. Mattress was a little sunk in and could feel the springs. Pillow cases had some kind of animal fur (from the looks of it: greyish black short hair??) Cigarette fumes passed thru the windows which wasn't pleasant especially when I'm about to sleep. I guess the room would be alright if you're staying for a night or 2 just to sleep. If you're not comfortable with their bed sheets or pillow cases, you can bring your own. Same goes with blankets and towels. The bathroom has a heater and spray. I would give a 6.5/10 overall for the hotel.
