We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. Friendly and efficient reception staff. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was in the adjoining house... which we loved as it didn’t feel like a hotel. (We had a completely separate entrance and our own front door key). As they are terraced, the houses are joined at the rear via a cafe-style dining area. We didn’t have breakfast as they only offer Continental. We went instead to the Natural Kitchen on the corner of Baker Street. A lift goes as far as the 2nd floor... we were on the 3rd, but the small flight of stairs wasn’t a problem for us. Our room was at the back, and very quiet. Double glazed sash window looked out onto rooftops. The King bed was firm but very comfortable. Huge tv. Glass partitioned bathroom was fine for us, but might be problematic for some? No storage, only a couple of coat hangers on hooks on the wall, but we had very little luggage, so were fine with that. One criticism: we could only find ONE power socket in the room.
Not as I expected ”
There’s some things wrong with the information between Agoda website & the actual by example the Z Rooms very smal 10 sqm but in Agoda website 20sqm & there’s no lobby only a very small reception area not more than 2sqm
Correction from my last review - room ARE newly renovated”
We actually extended our stay by one more day as we had a late flight. It was easy process to let them so we are able to keep the same room. The room is small because the King bed takes up most of the space. Probably not great if you have kids... but good for a couple.
Great location but super small rooms”
Generally I thought the hotel was nice. Staff was friendly, location was good, rooms were clean and net renovated. For us, location was great - cos Marylebone is convenient and walking distance to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Tube station. We also like the complimentary evening wine and cheese session for hotel guests. But really be prepared for super small room even for London or New York standards. You will need to unpack and put away the luggage under the bed or in the closet in order to have any floor space. Proportionately, the bathroom and shower is decent size. Also, note that the hotel is spread down a couple blocks so the reception might be in a different building.
Ok for the money”
The hotel is clean and usually cheaper than hotels in the area. But you get what you pay for. Small rooms, some without windows (beware of the basement rooms, last time I had a club suite which is in theory their best room and despite especifically requesting to not have a basement room, I still ended it up in the basement). The bed is uncomfortable and the hotel is actually a collection of 8 buildings, so you might have to start your check in in one place and have to move to another. I stay here when it's only one night, given the convenience of the location for me.
Cancelled due to Eurostar official statement”
A friend recommended me your place for its comfort and location. But following an official statement released by Eurostar on wednesday 27th March which highly recommended us to not travel to London on friday 29th march “unless absolutely necessary”, we decided to get fully refunded by Eurostar. However, we expected Z hotel to understand more the situation and refund partially at least for the damage caused by my late booking cancellation or keep our credit for a future booking there. But instead they proposed me to give a future date of trip to London within 2 days or to change the name of the booking but not many people travel to London at the same dates than us, we couldn’t find anyone. My review is more about staff than quality of your hotel.
Clean modern rooms, large flatscreen TV”
The rooms were exactly what we expected. The rooms were modern and had just enough space to get around. We stayed in the king room for 3 nights and junior suite for 1 night (slightly more room). There were toiletries provided. The flat screen TV was beautiful and had access to many movies, documentaries, etc. via cable. Short 5-10 minute walk to closest subway.
Excellent value for money. Love the concept, urban, comfortable, welcoming unfussy with friendly smiley staff. The complimentary cheese and wine was a surprising bonus. Will stay with Z again and happy to recommend it.
Great value and service”
I had a 2 night business stay here. This hotel consists of 4 separate properties along Gloucester Place and this caused initial confusion. I had given the taxi driver the address on the booking, no. 51, but he dropped me at the first building on Gloucester Place he saw with a sign for Z Hotel. I walked to no 51 to be told that my room was in no 87. This initial confusion was soon forgotten when I arrived at no. 87. It is a beautiful Georgian townhouse, sensitively and recently converted to hotel use. It feels like an exclusive boutique hotel, of the sort that would cost far me than the rate I paid. The free wine available adds to the feeling of being in an exclusive club, rather than an inexpensive hotel. The room was nice, with fresh, clean decor and a comfortable bed. I didn't hear a sound and slept well. Breakfast was served at a communal table and include a good selection of breads, cereals and fruit. All of this within 3 mins of Baker Street tube station. A good spot.
Great location, safe and close to public transportation. Exemplary service from the staff, and they upgraded me to a king room when they sighted my heavy luggage. The evening wine and cheese was very good and generous with a decent spread to chill out before heading out for dinner.
Excellent Stay in London with Perfect Location”
I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. The room was sparkling clean and equipped with basic needs. The complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese were lovely. However, one of the staff was not really friendly to us (maybe she had a bad day). But overall, it was a pleasant day. Thank you.
Cosy Hotel with amazing staff”
We were impressed with the friendliness and hospitality of the staff! Wine and cheese buffet from 5-8pm is an extra bonus! Absolutely everything is extremely delicious. Hotel and rooms are small but very clean.
One night in London”
The hotel was perfectly located, central and close to train and bus stops. Even though we would miss breakfast the next day, Daniela organized some take away breakfast for us. We were very early for check in but they gave us a basement option available immediately, we politely declined and they made a room available on the 3rd floor soon afterwards. Danielas service was excellent, she made us feel so at home. The rooms are small but its great value for money, very clean , decent ventilation, enough storage for your bags. The area is quiet, food is so delicious. Bar has so many options, drinks were free and available at all hours. Its not 5 star but sure as hell felt like it and came close. We couldnt be more happy and would highly recommend this place.
Z Gloucester Place”
A good hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Small things missing like a luggage rack, towel hook in bathroom and a bedside reading lamp. However I would use the hotel again if business takes me to the same neighbourhood.
Wonderful stay at the Club”
We got an upgrade to the club, and throughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel's wine and cheese hour are a great way to meet other guests and have a conversation. The staff are very friendly and make the stay a joy!
Convenient location with clean room”
The hotel is located in the Hyde Park area and has easy access to all must-see destinations in the city. It is with walking distance to the underground station, Oxford Street and Marble Arch. The room is clean and with good city view outside window but it is a bit small for big luggage. The bed is comfortable. The staff was nice. The hotel provides free wine and cheese at evening but we did not have time to try during our stay. However, the hotel does not have a proper reception and there is no fridge inside the room. You have to bring toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers as the hotel does not provide those items. All in all, it is a nice hotel to stay in London.
very good location, superclean super efficient staff”
location wise very close to marble arch , oxford street . for those shoppers - this is an ideal. when we arrived , we were told that we have been upgraded to superking room. room size fairly reasonable and very clean. foods and snack are available at the common /kitchen area - which is a good meeting place to mingle around with others. will definitely will come back whenever there is opportunity to visit london. highly recommended.
Super spot for short break”
More or less in the beating heart of London -10 mins from Oxford street / Hyde Park Corner. Super clean, comfy bed bijou room with BIG TVif you wanted., but why would you with so much in walking distance. Lovely staf too. We were on top floor and the only down was a weak shower.
Very clean with friendly, helpful staff. The club level is a particularly good value if one does not plan to eat every meal in a restaurant. Location is excellent - convenient without being in the heart of a commercial area.
No money value”
The rooms are very clean, staff are friendly. During check in I got avery small room but the next day got upgraded. Downside: Rooms are very small and the price is very high compared to what you get.
