Nice hostel for budget travellers”
The interior of the hotel was as per pictures. However, as a female solo traveller I dont feel safe as its quite a walk to Ben Tanh market. And there were many traffic to look out for on the way there. Further, my room was on the highest level. After walking up, like 5 minutes long, already very tired. Room was quaint and nice. My greatest impression was the female receptionist who was very friendly and nice. Had to cancel 2 nights to shift to a room nearer to Ben Tanh after the first night.
Clean rooms. Not noisy. Decent breakfast. Nice staff. Comfortable. Towels available. Basic toiletries available. It had everything i needed for a good price. I stayed in two hotels. This was the better one. If i come back to Saigon, I'm booking here for sure.
Clean and basic - good location - fantastic staff”
Pros: wishing max 30min from all touristy areas Room I had was basic and clean. Didn’t need more personally! The young lady at the reception was so nice and super helpful. She spoke really well English. Cons: breakfast is very basic but does the job. There was some renovation happening when I was theee, so it can be noisy during the day- if you are planning to stay in the room! Overall, I would go back to stay there again. Good value for money
Had the triple bed room on the highest floor - large bedrooms & toilet. Enjoyed the stay.. climbing up the stairs (more than 3 floors) may be quite tiring for older folks. Construction next to it is not very pleasant (still dusty even though no shoes allowed in the premise), but since we're out most of the day, it's okay. Do try the massage & hair spa opposite - amazing hair wash!
Breakfast was good! It was a little far from the main street.
Upon our arrival, the make receptionist (regret did not get his name), was very helpful in providing us the drawn up map highlighting all the good places for food. He even helped us marked the places that was on our itinerary to visit and suggestions on how to reach these places.
Friendly Staff, Good food nearby”
Impressed about the excellent service of Lucy (Receptionist). We got free upgrade to Triple Room for whole stay, and this was a birthday trip of my brother, he got surprise free gift from Town House 50. nearby hotel got convenience store, and you may find very delicious Bánh Mì from the next street. Can search Edenstar Hotel as location when you order Grab, as townhouse 50 just next to it. Breakfast is simple, and the Milk Tea with Iced Coffee is nice.
Clean, with good breakfast”
Might have been because I stayed during midweek, but the hostel was quiet. The hostel, room, and toilet were always kept clean. While I stayed in a dorm room, I had no roommates the whole stay. Breakfast was good, lots of pica you can eat, free refills. Of course, they had free ca phe which was excellent. Location isn't central, a bit far from the sights in Saigon, but if you like walking that wouldn't be a problem.
No elevator. Stairs too steep. ”
Right at the end of an alley, safe but quite dimlit during night time. There’s no elevator, so if you’re a heavy traveller, this place is not recommended. Theres a no shoe policy inside, so you literally walk on your feet/socks to go in & out of the hotel. It would be nice if they can provide a disposal slippers but there’s none even in the room. But overall the place is clean so it doesn’t matter if you walk barefoot but quite annoying to walk in a cold tiled-floor. We booked for the triple sharing room with a double bed & a full single bed as indicated on the photos. But we’re given a double size bed + “extra foldable bed” instead. Did not complain coz we’re dead tired to go down & up the stairs. The staff was really helpful recommending places to go and eat. It was a good stay, but we had a hard time moving down our luggages after a couple of days of shopping...coz again there’s no elevator!
Good value for money. Staff was very helpful although we needed to take up the stairs with heavy luggage as there was no lift. Nonetheless our stay in this hotel was amazing and we would come back for sure.
friendly staff, clean room, good location”
Went to the hotel by taxi from Tan Son Nhat airport, it costs only 220,000VND for a way, and there is no issue for the driver to find the hotel... Convenient place as you can find many small restaurant or cafe around, if you don't walking, you could get to the main attractions in just 15-20 minutes. Room is clean and this is what I'm truly looking for! Overall is good! :)
Kelly is very kind”
We stay for a night in a triple room. The hotel located in centre. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. Toilet is good, water is strong. The staff at reception is helpful, especially Kelly, she is so kind to my friend. Breakfast is good.
Great for Solo Travelers!”
I stayed here over the New Years weekend; despite it being peak season it wasn't overcrowded. Bed and locker space was just right (space was large enough to fit my luggage). Made some new friends, along with the friendly staff! Hostel was overall clean, even better than I had expected than the usual. The hostel design was quirky and with character, and rather easy to find - cab drivers seem to know where it is, no getting lost or anything. Conveniently located, there's a nice park down the road for morning walks and evening jogs. And a cosy cafe called Thrung Nguyen that is contemporary and comfortable. Highly recommended for solo travelers and small groups. I got lucky having had acquainted with other like-minded travelers, which made the trip even more memorable.
Wowowow!! Stay here!!!”
My stay was awesome! From the airport take buss, 152 (5.000 Dong) When I got there, you really felt welcome and they had a ton of tips for what to do. I got a dorm in the 3 floor which was great. And I met some very nice people. Overall the feeling is great. You got 5 different wifis to choose from so you just pick the best one. I got close to 30mb/s. You can make your own banh mi for breakfast, and you get spring rolls, dumplings, fruits, ice coffees etc. in the evening they served a cake as a surprise. very skillful receptionists and I am very glad to have met them! It's totally worth. since you also get your own peace, as you don't hear any music from the backpacker street, but it's only 5 min away walking. A great stay. And they really deserv the full 10, I would give them more if possible :)
Our stay was great! For a two star hotel, it is much better than most three star hotels that I have stayed. Love the room design, the toilet and the comfortable bed. We encountered a little problem when checked in as we booked triple bed room but was given double bed. However we were given refund and room was changed for us the next day. Other than that, the room was lovely, toilet was very clean and towels were changed everyday. Will definitely stay again in the future!
Our stay was great, thanks to the helpful staff. They were accommodating to us since even before our trip to Saigon, when we contacted them thru FB, they were able to answer our questions. The breakfast was good as well especially the coffee. Vietnamese coffee are the best. If we have a chance to go back to Saigon, we will definitely booked this hotel again. It is also in a safe area, so no problem walking till late night although they have a 12 midnight curfew.
A very nice experience and good value for money”
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and they made my experience in Saigon a very memorable one. The staff are always there to help, answering all your questions about places and restaurants. They even made me stay (my flight was at midnight) and made me use the shower even if I was already checked out. The hotel has a really nice interior design and I really loved the place. And the breakfast they offer is amazing!
Got shifted to Town House 23 instead”
We didn't manage to stay there, but got shifted to a sister property, Town House 23 as there were repairs ongoing in our room. Service was friendly and swift, and the hotel paid for the cab fare to the 2nd location. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it was much more centrally located and newer.
Great staff and great ambiance.”
We stayed in a twin room, so I don't know what the dorms are like, but the twin was nicely furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was solid, and the staff was excellent. Johnny especially was enthusiastically helpful, and extremely nice. The location maybe isn't the absolute best available, but is a totally doable walk from most points of interest in the city. The only real problem we had was that the wifi in the rooms was very unreliable and weak at best. The two computers available in the lobby worked quite well, but using the internet in the rooms is no real guarantee. Also, our room on the "third floor" was really on the 5th floor, with no elevator. A bit of a pain after a long, hot day.
Great Place to Stay in SaiGon”
This place exceeded my expectations, our room was quite big compared to the photos, it was clean with an modern asian touch. The hotel itself is really awesome, eventhough you need to go inside an alley, it really was a great location because it's near all the places you need to visit when your in HCMC. Johnny helped us book a lovely dinner cruise on the 1st and Mekong Delta tour for our 2nd day adventure . Big thumbs up to Johnnh for being helpful, also to Tommy who accompanied us to the Dinner cruise 😊. Breakfast was simple but great, love the local coffee and the Baguette ( but i do hope they improve on the selection for breakfast 👍) . Our hotel was walking distance to ben thanh, independence palace, war remnants which was. Also the best bahn mi place is just a few minutes walk to our place. Will be recommending this hotel to our friends😊z great for back packers as well. Thanks Johnny and Townhouse 50 . 😁 we enjoyed SaiGon verymuch.
