Very recommendable ”
Friendly staff and neighbours. Near local bars, Sabang beach and public market. The room is clean and spacious. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Book at your own risk”
Pros 1.Cheap 2.Spacious rooms 3.Fast wifi Cons 1.The entrance was not easy to find, its more of a private home. 2.No parking, its a hassle when you bring your car. 3.Sometimes they lock the entrance door, two times i knocked and waited about 10mins before someone opens it. 4.AC was not strong enough to cool the room and it was very loud, i only fell asleep coz i was too tired from all the activities(Biking & Surfing). 5.The water on the faucet and shower smells like sewage water! it really smells like shit. One has to wonder where they get their water supply. Overall i would never book here again, i almost book a 3night stay but luckily i listened to my guts and just book a night. The staff was nice tho
Home away from home”
Good location. Nice and helpful people. near the wet and dry market. nice and homey house. It's just that the bathroom is not so clean.
Last Minute good decision booking”
Few steps from the bus terminal and infront of the public market, with souvenir shop and the good thing is theres a generator. So i was able to sleep the whole night still with a/c even though the whole town has no lights.
Overpriced basic room ”
Firstly I have to say the staff were friendly and approachable, however the room was very basic, and with bonus ants. This would not be a problem if the price reflected that but paying $35 USD was quite a shock. Maybe these are standard rates in the Philippines but it’s more than double what you’d pay in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia or Vietnam for much better facilities.
Cost-effective choice ”
Went to Baler overnight for a wedding. Its location is really accessible to the public market, bus or van terminal, and the church (five-minute tricycle ride), even Sabang. Amenities are pretty basic. Standard rooms can fit more than three people inside though the aircon might be too small to cool the room. Note that standard rooms at Zen Breezeland have a common rest room so if you’re not comfortable with this set-up, consider this one. The staff are warm and accommodating. Even before I got to the hotel, they were timely with their responses over text.
Zen Breezelands is a big 3 story house with lots of rooms. We stayed in one of the master suites with a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable, there was hot showers, the plumbing worked well, the air con was good enough although we hardly used it. When we arrived the communal kitchen on the 3rd floor was a little dirty and not working properly, but after bringing it to the owner's attention it was quickly resolved and much to our liking. The bathroom in our room was also a little dirty in spots but nothing gross. A quick wipe down and it was fine. We received clean linens and towels twice during our 5 day stay. The staff was very kind, attentive, and accommodating. There is a big market across the street where you can find all kinds of produce. The property is located in the heart of town right next to both bus terminals. It is a quick 10 minute trike (motor-tricycle) ride to the beach. The decor of the building is very charming. A real value compared to beach front hotels.
Highlight of our stay here is -you can cook freely in the kitchen upstairs which for me is wonderful! plus its directly in front of the public market, so no sweat buying ingredients. Also the bus (or van) terminal is also just right at the public market (very much a walking distance). You need to take tryk to go the beach which is fine 5mins top. The property staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly.
The place was actually really great. It was way outside of the city though so it made it hard to get to the beach area. Also late at night when we booked we tried to get in and the whole place was locked with a padlock so i wasn't sure how to get in/out. Better if we can come and go as we please.
Good place in Baler”
I booked this place during the off peak season so I got a huge discount. At first I was greatly impressed by the hotel's gesture of allowing us to use a bigger room (good for 3) instead of 2 (which I booked), but when we were inside our room for a while, we realised that the air conditioning wasn't enough to cool down the whole room. We didn't have a good night sleep coz of that. Nonetheless, it was a good place coz we literally owned the whole floor with the rest of its amenities.
Accessible, clean and quiet. Though AC needs repair.
The place is very near market, and any other tourist attractions, the rooms are big and clean, and rhe staff are so accommodating. There is a kitchen where we cooked our lunch and breakfast the day after, we were so confortable staying there. The wifi is fast. I will recommend my family and friends to stay there.
2 mins walk to terminal. Recommeded for commuters”
The place is clean, accessible to market, souvenir shops, terminal and very affordable. Highly recommended for commuters👍👍
TWO THUMBS UP!!”
Lowest budgeted room rates and yet so clean and the staffs are very friendly.
Nice location. Near the public market”
If you're on a budget in Baler, this is a good place to stay. No frills. Clean and accessible. Just a 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal. You can also easily hail a tricycle to tour Baler for 800 pesos the whole day.
A home away from home
Good for a night”
Stayed here for a night after a 4.5 hour drive from Angeles. The one highlight would be the ability to cook and use the common kitchen facilities with groceries from the market across the street. Other than that, it's Filipino style, which means rooms aren't as comfortable. Our CR had a lot of old leftover soap bars, which is super nasty just to look at. Gives the impression that nobody cleans the CR. Then I found out the nasty Filipino tradition that they leave common soap? That's the one nasty thing that made me want to stay at Sabang Beach the next day. Other than that, cooking would be the highlight of this place. Cleanliness is a whole different story. I can bring my own soap obviously lol.
Very good hotel if you want to have only necessary services”
It's 1 min walking from bus station =)
what a great place ”
An unexpected find! It really was a super place
