I am truly surprised how clean and nice this hotel is in contrast to its immediate location. It is an ideal stay for people who are on a budget for a good hotel experience. Just be careful if you're going to walk down to BGC from the hotel. Pros and cons. Firstly, this hotel is clean, I had no encounters with bugs of any kind in the rooms. The bed is comfy, complimentary drinking water tank in the hallway, a working mini fridge, and a TV (mine had Netflix capability, despite the other reviews), and fast WiFi. The aircon works well, even if it is a loud window type of aircon, it provided nice white noise while I slept to cover the outside noises of the busy street where it is located. The staff here is excellent and accommodating, providing complimentary hot coffee in the morning between 6-9am in the lobby. Overall, iHotel is excellent for the value. Cons: A bit hard to find, because the hotel is sandwiched between local small businesses. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is much less nice than this hidden gem of a hotel despite being a 10 minute walk to downtown BGC. There is an obvious contrast between the poverty surrounding the hotel compared to the rich vibe of downtown as soon as you cross into the BGC rich-touristy area. Anecdotally, my girlfriend caught a group of street locals trying to pickpocket me while we were walking back to the hotel, literally steps away from the entrance - A group of 3 men that look like they are in their mid-twenties who practically ran away as soon as she caught them. Good thing I don't keep anything irreplaceable on me. Recommendations: As I mentioned above, if you look like a good target for pickpockets like I do, please be careful when you are leaving or going back, when you are near the hotel. Don't go out late alone. If you are taking a grab or driving from the hotel, then it shouldn't be an issue. The parking does look very limited, so I recommend not bringing your own car here.
Cozy, spacious hotel”
Needed a cozy, clean space to crash for a night at BGC. This place proved to be very unassuming: easy to find in the maps, entrance seems basic, but offered a good space from the outside where there were a lot of people passing by. It was gated so it was safe, too. The lobby was well-lit with a spacious receiving area, and the receptionists were accommodating. Quick check-in. I was given the twin deluxe room at the basement. At first I was concerned for signal and cleanliness, but I did not mind later on because there was elevator access and adequately spaced hallways. It was also quiet. It was easy to get to my room which was clean and spacious. Nice flooring. With a working fridge (not all small hotels would have this), TV, hot kettle, slippers, dental kit, and two bath towels. Enough sockets for charging. Good lighting. Comfortable sofa and table. With a big separate space for my baggage, too. The bathroom was small- had a small space for the toilet bowl user, but it was okay as it was clean. The shower area had a good space and the shower worked well, with good water flow, hot and cold options that worked. They also serve drinking water, hot and cold, at dispensers at the hall and reception areas, with paper cups available at the reception area. Location was good, too- it's just across BGC, about 50 steps. Public transpo accessible as well. With cheap food options right outside. Across the street you have fastfood options too. Overall- worth the money. Go check it out.

Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The place was a real bang for the buck, offering top-notch services without breaking the bank. Nestled in a prime location, it was easy to explore and enjoy the vibrant surroundings. Not to mention, the cleanliness was impeccable, kudos to the housekeeping team for maintaining such high standards. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. The facilities were modern and well-maintained, with a special shout-out to the hot water supply and bathroom amenities that were always up to par. Despite the lack of any significant drawbacks, there's always room for improvement. Overall, a highly recommended stay!
Ideal for business trips to BGC”
The hotel's location is ideal, right on the edge of BGC along Kalayaan Avenue. It's close to shops, restaurants, and a pedestrian crossing, making it easy to explore the area. You will definitely walk a lot or even take a Grab ride if you're in a hurry but I guess that's how they're able to charge so low compared to other properties in the area. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi was reliable, although there were occasional slowdowns when streaming movies from Netflix. The only suggestion I have is to consider replacing the cable TVs with smart TVs. This would allow guests to stream their favorite content from their own devices, including Netflix, making the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend iHotel Uptown BGC. It's a great value for the price and a convenient location for exploring Manila.

• Location 4/5 - the area outside is a bit populated and feels unsafe if you plan to go out at night. The hotel is gated, so there’s no need to worry. Its address says Uptown BGC but it’s actually at Kalayaan Road — it’s not within BGC. Though it’s true that Uptown Mall is walking distance from the hotel. • Price - We booked our room via booking.com, it’s cheaper and it’s worth the price. • Reception 5/5 - check-in process is pretty fast, no waiting time, and receptionists were nice. Lobby is fine, can accommodate up to 8 or 10 people at a time and smells nice. • Building and Hallways 5/5 - everything is clean. No foul smell, no dirt visible. • Room 5/5 - Very spacious, exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean. Room smells nice because of the fabcon they use which is great! •Study/Work Table - Very spacious which I loved! •Bed 5/5 - We got the Standard Twin Room. The bed can only fit 1 person but it’s big enough even for plus size. •Pillows 5/5 - So soft! Smells nice! •Blanket 1/5 - this is the ONLY thing I didn’t love about our stay. It’s not soft, so thin and so matigas. Not comforting. Photos shared below. •Full body mirror 5/5 - Served its purpose! Nothing special. •Clothing Rack 5/5 - With hangers. They have bidet. Shower has hot or cold option. •Wi-Fi 4/5 - See photos for internet speed test. It works fine if you’ll just check emails or so. But for bigger apps, I don’t think it will work. •Extras - they have TV, but it does not support Netflix or such. Water heater and mug for your coffee is available. Small fridge works fine, too! We asked for a hair blower or dryer, but they can’t provide one. Overall rating is 4/5. I just wish they’ll change their blanket to a soft and thick comforter and upgrade the TV so we can enjoy Netflix.
