In the northern part of Bali, totally secluded, this is a tropical luxury retreat for tourists looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Bali, known for its peaceful, rolling landscapes, traditional Hindu architecture, and tranquil atmosphere, is often recognized to have two different aspects to it. There is the quickly paced side of Bali, great for shopping and entertainment, and then there is the relaxing side of Bali, great for a peaceful retreat. The Zen Resort Bali is the latter. As the name suggests, Zen Resort Bali features all of the Zen amenities. Guests may start their day with traditional yoga treatments before moving on to the elegantly designed spa, then on to traditional Bali seafood in a candlelit setting to perhaps a drink in the stunning Zen setting and off to bed - a room with full amenities. Zen Resort Bali is a peaceful holiday retreat with full pampering capabilities.

We chose Zen Resort because it offered both yoga and diving. It was really very good on both counts. The food was delightful and the staff were absolutely terrific. We had such an awesome time.
Over-rated and disorganized ”
I was expecting my itinerary when I arrived but until the 2nd day, when I asked for it, it was still not ready. As I had booked a combinations of room only, wellness package and dive package, and had emailed many times before I arrived to clarify with the resort but upon arrival, the GM who greeted me still thought that I am going to check out 3 days before. It was a bit messy with rooms and some arrangements which they finally strengthens out on the 3rd day of my 12 days stay. It was not full and in fact their guest rate is very low. 4-5 guests at that time. The management also lacks some guest-friendliness and flexibility when the villa I booked for the packages were available but refused to let me extend my stay there. However, the staffs were very friendly and their service very personal. They showed alot of sensitivity and kindness to all the guests.
Very disappointed, falls advertisement.
Remote location resort, exorbitant prices services”
Zen Resort Bali is located in a remote place. It is not Singaraja but Seririt. The road there was bumpy and has many twist and turns. Not worth the 4-5 hours car ride to zen resort. In our rooms, we can hear what our next door neighbor is talking. The back door is hard to lock (wooden stump). Our bathtub is spoilt, the water cannot be drain. And the label of hot/cold water is opposite. The design of the basin is no good as the water tap is too short, causing the water to flow at the basin edge. All yoga/meditation require separate charges (10 euro each), and spa range around 50 euro or more. We can easily walk over to our neighbour's room as the back balcony has no fence. The wooden floor is uneven (it is spoilt). They should have check to ensure the bath tub and room floor are ok. There is no telephone in the room. We have to walk to the reception every time. The design of the shower is also no good. There is no place to put our shower foam and shampoo. Food average 10 euro per person. There is a night performance in the dining area, but we were not informed about it. It is only after we have asked, then they mention about it. Please note there is convenient shop next to the hotel entrance. For the price paid per night, we could have better used it elsewhere.
Rip-off, Rip-off, Rip-off!”
From the minute we turned off the main road onto the dusty pot-holed street that leads to the Zen(fake zen) resort I felt we were in trouble! It was so exorbitantly over-price for the location, food, services, and to boot they were not honest with us! We were told we would be given a gift of massage because they knew we were unhappy. When we checked out, and the massages were on the bill, silence from the supposed guru who offered the massages! They chased us down the entire stay, pushing the very expensive spa treatments, which compared to all the other treatments we received in Bali were inferior! The best I can say about this awful experience is that they agreed to let us leave one day early and did not charge us a cancellation fee! Really, we felt we were being taken in by charlatans! Even the taxi they hired for us to leave there was the most expensive one by far, and the dirtiest and hottest we have been in, and we are being taxied all over the island! This stay was our oly disappointment since we have come to this magical island!
Awesome and far to short. I enjoyed the snorkeling, the food, the massages and the interaction with other guests.
Beautiful Resort, ”
We have spent only two nights in this resort and I have to say it was beautiful place. Especially gardens and swimming pool with view on the valley and ocean were amazing. It was our 3rd accommodation on Bali and I'd chosen it because of reach to Menjangan for snorkeling. That was managed by hotel and for me the most beautiful on Bali and in my life (but I don't have too much to compare). We also enjoyed morning yoga class, great massages. Only cons - Bali is now often covered by plastic trash and close black sand beaches are not exception, sad view. Villas are very close to each other - common walls, so don't expect good privacy, especially if you rest on veranda. Also food wasn't good comparing to what we had before in restaurants on Bali where it is often amazing experience (we are vegetarians). But generally it was beautiful stay and I definitely suggest this resort.
Greatest spa treatment ever!”
The hotel is absolutely fantastic and highly recommended to all who loves relax and healthy holidays.
