Comfortable and friendly staff”
10/10 stay here… despite travel restrictions in Baguio they managed to accommodate us and the breakfast are good! Rooms are also clean and sanitized. Working ang hot shower, fast wifi. Very friendly staff. One thing i dont like is, the hitel is near the road and you can hear those sounds of vehicle passing through. Overall i enjoyed the stay for overnight.

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!”
We weren't really expecting much from the SDBM since it wasn't on the top of our list for places to stay during our holiday getaway in Baguio, but it definitely surprised us. From the friendly faces that welcomed us, to the cozy ambient lounge, to our [upgraded for free] very spacious and immaculate corner balcony room with the street view, we really couldn't ask for more. SDBM easily became our go-to place to stay whenever in Baguio!

We always stay at South Drive Manor everytime we’re in Baguio. Its no frills and feels like home to us. We don’t look for vacay amenities when in Baguio as its always a food and shopping trip for us so the hotel is just right. Its near CJH too.

The room was functional, but you can hear the noises produced one floor above and in the neighbouring room. Friendly staff. Upon my inquiry, I was even offered to be taken by the guard on his motorbike to a place in Camp John Hay where I had to be in the early morning for the staring point of a race. However, be aware that you must have a helmet when on a motorbike in Camp John Hay, even if you are not the driver. That seems to be normal, but the guard had not raised that to me before - hence I got into troubles in the morning, had to finish the way walking and was almost late for the meet up.

It was a perfect stay for us considering the price, baguio feel ambience, location near the pines and staff that were really helpful. It feels like home that everything is there, plus the nostalgia of Baguio. Just one thing, please do hire a pest controller. There is one tiny pet in your room, though it didn't bother us, well everything should have been perfect anyway. Great stay!

Pros - lovely interiors, esp the lobby; nice and peaceful location surrounded by trees; nice room size with good views; affordable and clean; accommodating staff; delicious food . Cons - waiting time for breakfast was a bit long (30mins from the time of order) but it's not much of an issue

Best Budget Hotel near Camp John Hay”
I traveled to Baguio to cover a Company Anniversary celebration for 3 days. Their venue is at Forest Lodge, Camp John Hay. I needed a hotel near the venue since my budget for accommodation is not enough for Forest Lodge Hotel. I later found South Drive Manor to be the nearest hotel to Camp John Hay. Travel time would be around 7 minutes to Forest Lodge. Even though my room is along the South Drive highway, I find it a very relaxing hotel. It's very quiet and peaceful. We had our Dinner at Korean Palace around 3-5 minutes walk near the hotel.

Though a little bit far from the downtown area, it's very much accessible through taxi. The room is clean and spacious for its price. It's location is also near Camp John Hay and Teachers' Camp, so it's great for joggers and those who like walking around.
