The staff are very friendly and helpful. Each chalet has its own comfortable seating area outside as well as plenty of places to sit/ lie down/ read, do anything really throughout the bamboo village. In terms of animals, there's some playful cats and some chickens around the area. Our room was the Gecko dorm, it was the top most building so we could see quite a lot from just sitting outside our room. Bathrooms are clean, place is peaceful. Insects are there as expected, it is a forest after all. There's some construction going on opposite the village but it's not as much of a bother as some in the reviews are making it out to be, it's actually not distracting at all. Perfect location for nature lover!”

Great place if you are a nature lover and wanna have a peaceful place. Far from busy city. Please use google maps if you wanna get here because if you are using waze, they will bring you to the damn bad road! Mr. Ramadhan was very polite and friendly. He greeted us when we were sitting at the terrace and tell us more about his retreat. The volunteers so kind and helpful. Will come back again for sure!

We booked Frog House (shared bathroom) at first. Then, the staff upgrade our room stay to Eagle Nest (private bathroom) cosidering our group consisted of 3 ladies to make us easier go to the toilet at night. How we can't be grateful enough. Thumbs up to their staff Pak Din and Abang Adi!

Nature, but lack of amenities”

I love back to nature. All the surround is good, cold night and could BBQ with friends. However, we have too much food and there is no common fridge we could store our food. Washroom could be clean up abit

We booked GECKO room (5 pax) with an attached bathroom for a night. It was great value for money. The room was cool and there were cups and other utensils that we could use from the common kitchen. We enjoyed ourselves!

Poorly maintained ”

Overall it was kind of small. Nowhere else to go unless you want to sit all day long, read some books and sleep. Please reminded that it is a Bamboo Village so I have expected how it will look like before I arrived. The room is dusty. Currently I wouldn't recommend y'all to go because there is a big deforestation activity going on. It is very noisy from morning to evening. At night, it was calm and cold. Suggest to bring ur own blanket, extra jacket or bed sheet. We arrived in the afternoon and rest for 2 hours ,took some pictures before we headed out to Sg.Gabai Waterfall (20min drive) and shower (advisable-before u head back to Village). Soon, we drive to Fish Farm Thai Restaurant, located at Bt.14 Ulu Langat hill. Take a right turn at junction (when u see a mosque) if u r coming from waterfall direction. This restaurant is just located on ur left hand side (recommended!). Then we headed back to Village. One night stay is enough here. Basically nothing to do here. Strong signal here despite poor location.

I enjoyed every moment i"ve stayed there..it it a great escape for those who worked in metropolitan.The calmness,coziness,the peace environment..those are what i"ve wanted for a long time..it is a paradise and a fairy tale for nature lovers..the home gave me such a beauty moment to be remembered..

We are really disappointed !! The bird of paradise surrounding area big different as picture not well conserve . everywhere full of dust ,living room fan hang too high and wind no strong , kitchen no fan . The most worst part is a lot of mosquito and toilet paper no provided mosquito repellent . Upset :(

we check in at 4pm and we left at 6pm on the same date, reason as below:- 1/The Bird of Paradise is full of dust! 2/The facilities were not in condition, light, fan, door, toilet's door. 3/nothing much in the resort

Initial impression was nice. However, there is nothing much to do, other than to mingle with the rest of the hotel guests. Jungle trekking and hot spring dipping are rather faraway.

We stayed for 2 nights and we had a great time. When we checked in, there was a minor problem but Mr Ramadhan was very helpful and accommodating. My kids had a great time exploring the area. In fact, we don't really have to go anywhere. The surrounding area was enough to occupy my kids. It was nature at its best. Food was easy as there are lots of restaurants nearby. We also learned a lot about bamboo architecture. It was a great weekend getaway.

Unique bamboo design chalets, quiet and relaxing”

Very pleasant, the owner Ramadhan is very friendly, he recommended me a very nice Minang (Indonesian) eatery nearby his lodging. Nice and quiet surrounding, very cooling at night. Road leading to the chalets however, requires some repair, otherwise only 4WD is ok. Normal cars need to be extremely careful. Overall: Fantastic place to be.
