It is across the river and much nearer to the amazing karst view. Room was spacious enough for the five of us. Breakfast was good. Staff were great. They even let us use their washing machine and detergent powder for free! We love our stay here.
Overpriced lacking facilities and impartial staff”
Change d management or owner!
Could be better”
It wasn't so bad, but we've expected more than what we got. The location of the hotel is great; many restaurants, street food, shops and bars all in walking distance. And not noisy because the hotel is on the other side of the river -- the more peaceful side, where there is a small wooden bridge you can use to cross to Vang Vieng downtown. However, our bungalow looked old and worn out compare to others around. The room was kinda dusty and the floor mats were very dirty. And we found two cockroaches one night during our stay which we understand that sometimes you just can't avoid it in nature but still very unpleasant experience. If you like the isolated environment, nice mountain view and good location, maybe this is the right place for you. But we'd rather try other hotel next time.
there were cockroaches in the room and bed and we never even ended up sleeping here, instead we left around midnight to find another place to stay. Good price and amazing views if you don’t mind bugs....
Love the Ambience ”
The place is strategically place in the heart of Vang Vieng but still has a compound of its own, with gorgeous backyard of stunning paddy field which i never failed to catch a sunset everyday.
expect a few things, and probably could use a little improvement in the future:
1) no housekeeping along the stay
2) our booking clearly stated provided breakfast, but no one ready to entertain us for breakfast.
3) the staffs despite very friendly and quiet helpful, their english proficiency are a bit lacking made it a bit hard to communicate and get the points across.
but i believe this place is quiet a gem in Vang Vieng, for sure.
Awesome staff - beautiful view”
This place is located right across the river .. nestled amongst a rice field with an amazing View of the limestone cliffs in the back ... staff is beyond friendly ..however, if you are looking for more standard accommodations..keep in mind that the bungalows are very basic ...no tv ..has air ...shower and toilet has no divider like most of Asia ...no trash can ...no internet rooms . But the staff and location make up for it
On arrival, there was no one to speak to about our booking, just someone who let us into a hut. we booked a large hut but were given a small hut. There was no check in of checking of the booking so no one we could talk to. The hut was small - that was why I booked a large one - quite basic and not good value for money. The location was good but I suggest and future guests check carefully what they are getting.
The location of the hotel is different feel than others hotel because we need cross over the rivers just can reach the hotel.
The room type we book at the end row which don't have wifi access but the view is good with mountain view
Unique experience during rainy season”
There was no bridge to the bangalow. We had to take a little boat, kayak everytime we wanted to go to the main street. We didn't know that they remove the bridge during rainy season. Haha. Unique experience.
We were bummed by our stay. Hospitality was non-existent. No guidance for how to get across the river (you take a boat from Banana Restaurant but that's not clear). We were given a key when we checked in, but never the free breakfast as advertised. If you're on the fence about this one I'd opt for something in town.
We're really not picky but we're not happy with our stay. View from our bungalow was beautiful though.
Amazing view at a friendly place! ”
We had a wonderful stay at this property. We stayed in a clean, well maintained villa. The villa had amazing mountain views from the balcony.
- AirCon was new and worked well
- Shower Heater was nice and worked well
- The bathroom had a big fan, and that helps keep the humidity down in th villa
- We enjoyed sitting along th river. One night we even watched people set off paper laterns into the sky!
- It was an easy place to access and it's very close to all the main areas in town. We could get anywhere in 2-5 min.
When you show up, head over to the Banana Bar down the street. They can take you over to the otherside!
