Centralised buy not clean”
It was a hotel accessible but the sheets and pillow cases was so smelly. The pillow itself were mouldy...if she case was taken out. Bathrooms were small and dirty... In Agoda standard, I think this hotel is over rated.
The staff are all great it is in the centre of town restaurants all close by we enjoyed our stay
Not many options at that small town tough. No hot water either considering the temperature was somehow chill. Next trip I will look for something different.
Great Accommodation ”
This place was really great. The lady that runs it is very sweet. The room was clean and the food was great too. It's just a short walk to the Main Street. I saw some comments that the staff should go to English school. I think that it's unfair to put this in a comment as it is a small town where not a lot of people speak English, plus it is very expensive to send your child/staff to learn English. I thought this place was lovely and would recommend it to others.
Unfriendly staff and owner.”
Bad initial experience, on my first visit. Staff and owner very accusatory when broken equipment was brought to their attention. This second trip was a mistake (forgot name of facility and i had prepaid) and I will never go back.
Clean and big room ”
Clean and big room, close to the restaurans
I spent almost every night in another city and hotel during my holiday in Cambodia, but there was a best owner and helpfull staff. Kind, helpfull, he knows "everything" and he helps to realise your wish to do. THANK YOU! Marketa from Czech Republic
Good guesthouse, lovely staff”
The rooms were spacious and clean, with views over the valley. The guesthouse is in a good location, a short walk to most restaurants. The staff were also very helpful and persistent in trying to organise transport for us during a public holiday when it can be tricky to find buses!
Basic and clean”
This is a provincial area. Everything is basic. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no restaurant on site during our visitz
Friendly staff, great location”
We stayed at the Green House Guesthouse (Boran Southa) for two nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Great location on the main road in Sen Monorom. Tip: Pay the extra two dollars for the rooms with hot water. A great value at 10 bucks!!
Messed up booking”
First of all they didn't check their emails, so they didn't know that we'd booked. They gave us the last room they had left which is normally $5 as I found out from the comments online. Even though we'd paid $12. There was no hot water, the bed was the smallest double bed I've seen. The sheets and towels smelt of damp and there was mould all over the tv stand. The next morning they admitted they didn't know we were coming and moved to another room that became available. It was spacious but not very clean. The bathroom definitely needs some renovation. Wifi never worked, even when I went to the corridor and sat next to the router. And they ruined our laundry with blue marker, probably marking clothes so they can sort them out after. But we had to sort out ourselves, go through other peoples laundry. I wouldn't call this place as advertised because they claim they have numerous facilities in their hotel when they barely have any. Their restaurant is not even in the hotel, it's across the village, so it's more convenient to go and eat somewhere else. Other than that, some staff were quite nice but the whole stay was very uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend.
Good place for the location”
We had a comfortable stay. We stayed on our way to and from the Elephant Valley Project -(the Hefalump cafe is just around the corner up the hill, not at the avocado hotel which is where google maps led us haha! fyi). Be aware that it is a hotel in a country area (obviously), and to not expect too much other than a safe place to sleep and keep your bags (in the room - there is no safe). Very easy to get to as it's on the main street. Quite slow/ difficult to access internet. Friendly staff. Very close to some good restaurants.
What a stupid rating system.
The staff were very helpful and room clean enough. Rooms and hotel interiors could do with a repaint. The bright green and orange colour scheme a bit garish.
Perfect base for elephant trip”
Walking distance to all sen monoram restaurants/cafés, clean, safe, basic room, staff very helpful. Not sure why a twin costs more than a double. would recommend this place if you're in sen monoram
standard rooms nothing special cheapest room ”
The staff was friendly. But that's where it stopped. The family lived in the lobby and watched tv loudly until past when we were trying to sleep. The worst was that in that area of Cambodia it is very cold this time of year. We had literally a small fleece blanket on the bed and no heater. There was a huge pile of blankets in the lobby but they refused to part with one despite pleading. I resorted to sneaking three more the second nite and taking a bottle of hot water to bed with me. There was no furniture in the room. Our friends, fed up with the place strolled two doors down and immediately obtained a room for thirteen dollars, it was really beautiful with all the Cambodian amenities .
Good budget stay”
Good value for the money paid. I was ill during our stay and the staff helped and checked up on me. Big clean room although the actual building is in need of a bit of TLC. Great place to stay for a couple of nights.
