Casa Andina private Collection Puno, Peru 6/8-8/10”
location on lake, views, homey feel with open fire places ablaze
too far from anything else......expensive dining
The hotel is low key with beautiful views and comfortable if not opulent room....Staff is helpful and anxious to please...the food is good but prices are extremely high for Peru. The balcony was a nice touch. It was a little awkward having to go in and out of main building to dining room when the temperatue at night was very low.......There are many steps and the lay-out is somewhat counter-intuitive....We essentially enjoyed out stay and feel it was the best place for the money anywhere in the Puno area.
Staff is courteous and helpful. Great internet connection.
Must specify that you want a lakeview room on a high floor, otherwise you may get a room with mostly a view of the roof of the rooms below and some view of the lake.
When we checked in, we were told our room will face the "garden" which really a tiny area with some plants but mostly the dusty street and some ongoing building across the street. Our hotel voucher clearly printed: lakeview, high floor. We were told that it was a mistake by Agoda. We insisted and finally got a lakeview, not on a high floor but okay for just one night.
-Shower constantly fluctuates between hot and cold making it very comfortable.
-Walls are paper thin. My neighbor came knocking complaining of noise two minutes into my international call back home... at 7pm!
-Restaurant food portion small and quite expensive
Reserved a room at this hotel based on good reviews. My wife and I were sorely disappointed upon check-in. The lake view room was old and outdated. Two things that were unbearable were the constantly fluctuating shower temperature and the paper-thin walls. We expected much more based on the price, the ratings, and the reviews. Since we were mostly out sightseeing and touring the lake, the lakeview room/location really didn't do that must for us. Based on the above cons, we regret having stayed here.
The location. The hotel overlooks the lake and if you are lucky enough to get a lake view it makes the stay incredible. The staff are friendly and helpful and organised a fantastic trip for me to the Uros Islands and Taquille. They also sent a car to pick us up from the train station when the train failed to stop at the hotel.
It was quiet when we stayed so the bar staff were not as attentive as they could have been - preferring to look at their laptop, but once you got their attention they were helpful and efficient.
I can't fault this hotel. It's in a great location next to the lake and has its own pier so that you can get dropped off following your trip on the lake. The only issue we had was not with the hotel, but with Peru Rail who failed to stop at the hotels station stop, despite us asking, but the hotel were happy to come and pick us up (although for an $8 fee. Great breakfast too!
Very comfortle stay”
beautiful location overlooking Lake Titicaca
A bit out of town if you need to be close to activities
very nice otel with a beautiful location. The views from the lakeside rooms during the day or night are manificient. Staff are friendly and all amenities are top class. Litlle tourist information is availae at the hotel so you better have all the info you need and have all your bookings made.
Casa Andina Private Collection Puno”
This is a very good quality hotel which can be recommended.
Good service, free wifi in room and computers available in the lobby, good amenities, "local" decoration.
Quite far from the city (10 mn by taxi)
I recommand this hotel. Good value for money. Luxuary rooms with local decoration, good restaurant and very helpful staff.
Behjelpelig betjening, rolig, fin utsikt
Flott utsikt over Titicaca innsjøen. Stille rolige omgivelser.
hotel cudownie położony na jeziorze titicaca, rewelacyjne jedzenie, cudowny widok, cichy
daleko do centrum miasta
bardzo ładny hotel. czysty i zadbany. Mile zaskoczona byłam jedzeniem i obsługą.
