Night stay in Cuso”
Staff was proactive but this hotel has no lift and poor porter have to carry bags from one floor to another. Toilet door could not close. It is a reasonably priced and located very near the city centr
Breakfast selection was very limited.
Quiet cold hotl”
Hotel is dark and cold. Heating is insufficient. Especially in the bathroom should be heating. Staff is very helpful. Coca tee available oll the day.
This is a reliable chain hotel in Peru ”
Location, helpful staff and value for money
this hotel is a reliable chain hotel in Peru where you can find the standard of 3 stars hotel. Loation is good you can reach the center of cusco by foots with safe. Staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast is moderate
Decent place in Cusco”
Location, view, price
This is a decent option for Cusco if you are only going to use your room for sleeping. We splurged on a nice hotel in the Sacred Valley so this was our "budget" choice. The breakfast included in the hotel rate was really bad, so we skipped it and went to a cafe called Jack's which is just down the street. This hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to everything in Cusco. Ask for a room with a view of the city.
Rooms are very small and not that nicely decorated. Shower went from hot to cold very unpredictably. Bed was comfy enough.
big & comfortable bed, hot shower, friendly staff
Very stinky drainage after shower / toilet, slow internet, can hear people above you walking, over priced.
Great value stay”
Beautiful, professional staff and clean hotel
Had a great stay with no complaints about the property.
Great location, excellent views, very accomodating staff
casa andina san blas was a great hotel! hotel staff was very accomodating...allowing us to store our luggage there 4 days prior to check in as my husband and i were doing the inca trek to macchu picchu. once we did check in, staff escorted us to our room to make sure we were happy, even delivered some of our travel documents after we accidentally left them at the front deck. room was standard but very clean. beds were comfortable, furniture was probably updated within the last 2 years. we had a room on the 3rd floor that overlooked cusco and the distant mountain ranges--beautiful! you can hear some music from a nearby bar, but by the time we went to bed, it was fine. breakfast was also a nice touch...we ate in the sunny courtyard and had a nice time!
unfortunately we only stayed one night after coming back from the inca trail before heading back to lima. will definitely be sure to stay here next time we come back to cusco!
Very clean, very friendly people, great location
less than wonderful breakfast
This is a great hotel. It's in a quieter part of town, but a 5 minute walk to the center, and with a lot of great restaurants and things to do right around the hotel. The hotel overlooks the sierras and is quite peaceful. The staff is really nice and helpful. The only downside, I would say, is that the eggs and bacon in the breakfast are undercooked. Other than that, great stay!
A Great Place to base yourself in Cuzco”
Location and amazing staff!
Having stayed on 3 occassions we got to see 3 different rooms. 2 were great - spacious with great views and a modern new bathroom, whilst 1 was a bit smaller with no views! But, for a short stay we didn't mind too much
If, like us you plan to travel to Machu Picchu and Puno, then you are likely to base yourself in Cuzco. Casa Andina San Blas is the perfect place! They happily look after your bags whilst you are away and even up graded our room on our return. The staff are amazing and the service the hotel gave us was brilliant!
Great value for money”
Value for money
Don't be last for breakfast - it goes quickly!
Having stayed 3 times and done 3 reviews, another observation would be the value for money. The hotel is very reasonably priced. You get the service of a 5 star hotel for a fraction of the price. I've actually had worst service at 5 star hotels!
The staff - incredibly friendly and professional.
The hotel is up a small hill, which does leave you a bit breathless by the time you get to the top because of the altitude, but it's such a small hill and after a few days you soon get used to it! The walls are a bit thin too so you can often hear people talking early in the morning and if you get a room on the second floor you can also hear the pipes creaking.
The Casa Andina San Blas is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are spotless and clean and the staff are friendly and professional. We had a wonderful stay here - on 3 separate occassions as we did a few trips during the holiday and used the hotel as our base. They happily looked after our luggage and welcomed us back each time, keen to hear about our travels. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel because of the fantastic service from the staff. It is also a short walk to the main plaza and we felt very safe in the area.
Convenient, Great Service, Lacks Character”
Staff was excellent. They went out of their way to help us out, and were very reliable. Located in San Blas - a great neighbrhood. Able to walk everywhere. Decent buffet breakfast included.
Rooms were lackluster, not well accesorized.
A little loud
We loved the staff & the location. The staff gave us excellent advice, made change for us, called taxis, and did an excellent job holding our bags & valuables while we hiked the Inca Trail. Computer/Internet was available at hotel. However, the hotel appeared more "boutique" on the website then it was in reality. It felt more like a chain, "medium-end" business hotel. Rooms & decor were pretty basic, and we were a little disappointed. Beds were comfortable, showers hot, and rooms were clean. We stayed here before & after our Inca Trail trip - our first room on bottom floor was a little run down & loud from window & hallway. The second room on a higher floor was a lot nicer & quieter. All & all this a good hotel with good service. It could use a bit of a facelift & a few more amenities in the room to give it some character & a better ambiance. for the price.
Nice, cute hotel”
Staff was very nice, quiet location, clean / cozy rooms with heat
A 10 minute walk or so from main Plaza, up a big hill to return.
I would recommend this hotel. I was a great value for the $$. We talked to other travelers and found out we were lucky to have heat in our rooms. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good. The staff was also very nice and the interest was free.
Casa Andina San Blas review - May 2009”
Very professional, friendly and helpful staff
Fantastic view from room window
Lovely gift shop in foyer
Would have liked a double bed.
Shame the restaurant and bar were not better utilised.
We were greeted by lovely, friendly, helpful staff at the front desk. Our bags were taken to the room by a very polite and efficient porter. The room had an amazing view across the city of Cuzco, and I was pleased to find a bath in the en-suite. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and the gift shop had lotsa of lovely items for sale.
Casa Andina Private Collection - Cusco”
Hotelanlage, Service, Business Center
