wi-fi wasn’t strong in room, but was by pool and on beach
Great location at quieter end of Chaweng beach”
Great quiet location
Nicer part of the beach at far end of Chaweng
Has standard rooms, deluxe rooms and pool bungalows and beach bungalows
I stayed both times in delux rooms upstairs with pool view
Very good cleaners
Beds and pillows are hard.
Staff did best by putting topper on bed and trying to find softer pillows.
Breakfast is average. Definitely not as good as last time but ok. Fruit, cereals, egg station, bacon etc.
Feel that owners just need to put a bit more attention to the place. Maybe update mattresses and pillows. Update the breakfast menu. As it is definitely got a beautiful setting and so many good qualities about it. Would love to keep coming back
Quiet beach and private zone ”
My room is outside resort a bit further in another building.. No sea view, no elevator.. You have to walk to swimming pool.. Some staff will ask you about the room number.. The room is clean and big room. Have tub bath.
Shitty staff and very mean ...
There is a canal which goes through the middle between the Beachfront Bungalows & the pool Bungalows . At low tide it smells of sewer. But a beautiful resort & a beautiful pool . If I were to stay again I would stay in the beachfront Bunglows because you get the sea breeze , not the breeze from the canal .
Yes, resort is very nice, very good location, very good breakfast
The First Bungalow Beach Resort provides all the basic necessities to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Koh Samui. Clean hotel rooms, pool, semi-private beach, massage, beach bar/restaurant, hotel restaurant, and free beach towels. It isn't the most glamorous of resorts and rooms, but it's comfortable and family-friendly. You get what you expect for the price. It's close to other restaurants, tourist offices, pharmacies, motorbike rentals, and other hotels/shops. Only complaint our room was a bit dark and the nearby construction noises were a bit bothersome in the morning. But seeing that you're in Thailand for a holiday, other than sleeping, staying inside the room probably isn't a real concern for most. I'd recommend it to any friend or acquaintance looking for a nice time in Koh Samui on a bit of a budget.
Not good for backpackers ”
This resort is lovely. But I would not recommend for backpackers. It’s quite far from the cheweng bar scene and the resort is primarily adults ages 40-60. If you aren’t a backpacker, then I would recommend this resort. It’s nice that you can rent a scooter and book tours on site. Airport transfer costed a steep 400 baut/$12 USD for an 11 minute drive. I though they would be able to accommodate their guests for cheaper.....
