We accidentally stumbled upon this resort and we were pleasantly surprised by this amazing resort. Super friendly staff, located at a stunning beach and the resort itself is so beautiful. The staff was amazing with our 2 kids. I would definitely come back!
A haven of peace and tranquility.”
If you are wanting mass humanity, loud music by the pool and all day entertainment then don’t come here. However, if you are looking for a perfect peaceful setting amongst a wonderful array of tropical greenery and beside a beautiful sandy beach then this is for you. We shall certainly return.
Lovely quiet natural environment”
They make a good cheese omelet in the morning and good coffee
Always love Haadson ”
Haadson Resort is a beautiful place to stay just a pity the area is becoming popular and built up. Disappointed to find this time staying that they have removed the fans from the room.
On the silent side of Bangsak Beach”
We stayed in one of the tented huts.
We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the Resort in general
The spacious set up of the tent-bungalows
There are some nice, authentic restaurants near by
Quiet beach side
Friendly and helpful staff
Well groomed garden
Rich breakfast Buffet
The Improvement section:
The receptionists knowledge of English seems on the unsufficient end
The Massage parlor is not worth the money (I'm sorry to say)
Nice hotel ”
We stayed in the Tent villa, nice design and functional. We loved the room.
The location are good for beach. Please improve the quality of breakfast by provide more variety of food.
Nice Employees, quiet & peaceful Beach”
Located at a nice and uncrowded beach, ideal to relax however if you are looking for some action it's a bit off the strip of Khao Lak Centre. But they have a scooter rental service so you can buy some flexibility for a fair price (300baht per day) if you are looking for some flexibility.
The restaurant and breakfast is good and the personell friendly and helpful. The bed mattress was a bit hard in the first night but after telling the reception they put in an additional softer layer on the bed so that it was quite comfy!
Bring mosquito spray if you want to relax on your balcony at nights!
All in all a pleasant trip and the right thing if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay for 2.
Aircon broken, no hot water, extra charged for children ”
Booked the tent for one night and was told upon arrival kids are "not allowed" to stay in the tents, need to upgrade to villa at a cost of extra 500 thai baht - and pay extra 700 thai Baht for extra bed ( we arrived with our 2 kids ages 6 and 8 - brought our own Matress).
The villa was overall nice with awesome balcony views of the lagoon. But aircon did not make it cold and hot shower was not possible. Water never became even warm. Complained the next morning as we discovered these issue late at night. Was not offered a reduction of price nor the extra costs waived.
Found out we were not allowed to stay in the tent as it was being renovated - I don't believe there is a rule against having children stay in the tent room.
Out of the crowds, and closest to diving pier than koh lak”
Very Nice beach and pool. 10m drive to the diving pier
2nd time stay, all the goodies still there”
Luscious jungle garden to the beach
My few advises (the rest is all very, very good):
1 - Bring your rented car
2 - The beach is PERFECT at low tide
3 - I guess the best time here is during low season. Just consider the possibility of one or two (max) rainy days, which you can use for some travelling around...
4 - Restaurant is very good. Other 3 or 4 restaurants at the same beach front are very good and cheap. In a 4, 5 Kms distance there are dozens of other very good restaurants of very diverse standards.
5 - This place is perfect for nature lovers, while providing good standard commodities.
6 - In a 4, 5 Kms distance, nightlife lovers have some options, even in the low season.
like the design and garden of the resort
Bad check-in experience
Clean, well maintained, quiet”
1. Beach-front location 2. Calm environment 3. Clean and well maintained
This resort is not really walkable to tourist attractions other than the calm, quiet and lovely beach. There are a few nice restaurants nearby, but the resorts own restaurant was very nice. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the little bungalow was very comfortable. Staff was helpful and the price was very reasonable.
No service at night”
it was pleasant. Although at night only a guard is on duty who can't speak English and he couldn't understand my request for a taxi the following morning.
Walking difficulties - not the hotel for you”
Views, quiet location, friendly staff.
If your young and fit you will perhaps love the hotel, but for us it was a nightmare, we were lucky it was only for one night as I was stranded in the room. Wooden walkways with many steps up and down, add rain to the mix and it was lethal. The beach across the road from the hotel was beautiful, and the staff were great. The beds were hard which is typical of Two or three star Thai hotels. Very quiet location great if that is what you are looking for, a car is needed, but you can't park it anywhere near your room.
Very enjoyable stay”
Hotel buildings and environment, location, staff
Other positive reviews are just right, it is all very pleasant.
I booked for 3 nights, then extended to a total of 8 nights.
I had a rented car, though.
great hotel ”
price , brekfast, free upgrade
amazing hotel cost me about 26 australian dollars for a night ,, free breckfast for 2 , free room upgrade , boutique hotel allot of character , i have stayed in many hotels had some great experiences but i would say this matches them but is probably the best because the price was so cheap ... i will say you really need a car if you stay here and want to goand see the local town etc but if you want to relax in the hotel and close to the beach this hotel is for you
spa not running to far away”
close to the beach nice gardens
we were very disappointed with our stay. We had originally hoped to hire a car to get to Khoa Lak but were unable to, so we ended up being very restricted to with what we could do. It was pouring rain both days we were there, so we were hoping to use the spa. However the spa is closed and only a Thai massage is available with 2 days notice (no use if you just stay two days!)As mentioned in other reviews the shuttle only goes once per day. As it was raining the location was really inconvenient and there really wasn't much to do. We also didn't really like the food at the restaurant but found a great place in town called mojos. We managed to get the taxis in town to drop us back for 350 baht but it still adds up when you are paying taxis every day of the holiday. we were upgraded but I still don't think it was good value for money, especially since the spa was closed and no alternative was offered or in close proximity. the staff were friendly though. Internet only available at reception and is super slow. I'm sure there is better value closer to town.
Good value but can improve on cleanliness”
service, breakfast, pool
The trip was overall very relaxing. The pool is big and clean. The room is big and comfy. The room is overall pretty clean just that the outdoor bathtub was dirty. I think that could be because nobody really uses it so the cleaning lady doesnt bother to clean it. We had to try to clean it ourselves. The bed and towels are very clean so that is good. Breakfast was delicious and there was a good selection of local food and western style breakfast. As for location, it can be good or bad depending on what you want. It is away from the city centre (i think the by taxi from the airport took a few hours) and right by the beach. Its quiet and serene. At night there is hardly any roadlights so after 8pm you are pretty much stuck at the resort. There is bus daily to a small town nearby where we had the best Thai food we had in the entire trip. A lot of big stray dogs around that might follow you around but they don't ever bark or attack so its fine. overall a nice experience but i would want to try another place next time.
A lovely quiet resort, so close to nature”
1. Quiet. 2. Large Room. 3. Friendly staff
What a lovely place. The stay started well with an ugrade on arrival, I had booked a coconum room but was put in a villa so had a room separate from others with a lovely big outside bath. The room was lovely with a big balcoy and big comfy bed. The place is one of the very few still left in Thailand, it is quiet with no big buildings, plenty of beautiful nature around. The staff were friendly and the breakfast good as far as small Thai resorts knowing what a good international breakfast is! I had read the reviews about the resort being far from shops and restaurants so hired a car, which was a good idea. As recommended we visited the black and white restaurant up the beach, the food was good and reasonably priced (it was a bit of a shame that the lady shouted out to her friend in Thai asking what the foreigner price for a Phad Thai was though!). I would definitely reccommend this place but suggest a car is a good thing to have.
Quiet, beautiful garden, near the beach
We went there as 2 families. I think the hotel was nice. The rooms are located either by a small river that connects to the sea or at a beautiful garden. The swimming pool is small but nice and child friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet. The website says "WiFi access in the rooms (charges apply)" but there is no internet access in the rooms. There is only at the lobby and the restaurant. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach is across the small road at walking distance.
