I'm a first time traveller to China, and was looking for a hotel that was clean and of a good standard without the hefty price tag since I'm a solo traveller. This place did not disappoint. The hotel was a 5min walk from Fuchengmen subway station, which made it convenient to go just about anywhere in Beijing.
There's a nearby mall, which is quite dead, but they did have some food options there and a supermarket below.
The hotel itself was great- clean. And modern. I'm very picky about the feel I get of the room, and this place did not disappoint.
Wanted to book the ticket to forbidden city, and the front desk managed to do it for me online. I also changed rooms 3x cos I didnt fancy the view, and Jack was so kind to help me get to the room which I finally settled in.
Cons: the place does get dark and once, I was followed by a local guy from the subway til outside the main road. Good thing I managed to lose him at the overhead bridge. Just dont stay out late!
good for a short stay”
It was convenient to our meeting venue near the exhibition center. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful and most spoke English. European breakfast at the coffee shop was quite good .
On my first evening, the coffee shop was closed but food could be ordered in the covered courtyard. Its ala carte menu is a bit limited. Next evening there was a buffet but the range of european options was poor eg overbaked pizza.
