Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented.
Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee.
Foreign business travellers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation.

Meh Place - cheap for what you get in Cusco”
We weren't impressed with the place but b/c Cusco is very touristy, the price we paid was good for what we got. It's a modest place, the staff is friendly.
There are better options for the price”
Friendly staff, airport pickup, clean rooms
Cusi Wasi is one of those hotels that appears like a great deal- night for a double room is a very high price to pay for the limited offerings this hotel offers. The airport pickup was great, but again a taxi ride from the Cusco airport to downtown is about $4/S 10, so not a huge factor in the price. The staff carried our bags to our room for us, and the receptionist was friendly and understood most English. The rooms are located on 3 levels in an L shape with an open set of stairs and balcony wrapping around the outside, all overlooking the lower floor which has some couches and a few too many houseplants. We did not eat any meals at the hotel. The room we stayed in on the first floor was of good size, have a night stand and corner table with 1 chair. The bed was mildly comforting. The hot water was a bit of a disappointment at first being lukewarm, then the staff fixed the water heater and it got hot enough for a comfortable shower.
We also did our laundry at the hotel, at double the price offered at places around town but it was convenient. They also accepted US dollars which was helpful. Also after we checked out they stored our bags for 1 night while we went to Machu Picchu. The location of the hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from Plaza de Armas, situated just north of the city center. The main street in front of the hotel was under construction during our stay so we had to enter on the narrow side street.
Overall, this place was not worth the price. We moved to another smaller hostel in the city with comparable rooms .
