Nice Staff, good location, clean room, but locks of bathroom is not work
Not much service, but a place to save cost of ur stay
Definitely much better places to stay”
We had a twin private room as we did all throughout South America and this was by far the worst one of them all. It was tiny. The beds literally were touching each other. The bathroom was almost bigger than the room. Both were clean and tidy but there was no hot water. The room was very loud from both the traffic outside and also other travellers due to the paper thin walls. The common area and breakfast table were right outside our door which were not very clean and the table needed a good scrub. We were looking forward to a nice breakfast after reading previous reviews but private rooms get the same breakfast as dorm rooms - toast, cheese and cereal. Even though reviews and in the sign on the door it said breakfast was next door at the cafe. We checked out a day early and they wouldn't refund the last night as it was booked through a website (even though payment was made direct to the hostel). Staff were lovely and friendly however not all spoke English as advertised.
Great value in downtown Santiago!”
Great location, friendly but uninformed staff, paper thin walls making for a noisy time.
Nice and clean, great location”
Great location - easy access to subway and bars and cafes
great location! you can see the subway from the hostal. great area, very safe and easy access to everything.
the staff that checked us in wasn't very friendly, didn't really smile and seemed a bit non-chalant about everything. there is a strict policy of no parties or get togethers in the main area after 11pm - as there is a downstairs area for that, away from all the bedrooms for that.
however at 3am there were a bunch of people outside the rooms having drinks and eating and chatting. while they tried to be quiet they were still really loud (as it would be with 8 slightly drunk people). i went outside and asked them to keep it down as we were trying to sleep and to my amazement one of the people eating and drinking was one of the staff members!
they dispersed quickly, but the staff member wasn't abiding by their own rules. she wasn't very friendly afterwards, but we left the next day.
