Nice Location, but old and...”

We’ve been three nights in the hostel and both of us said it was so far the worst on our tour through Mexico.. check in is open 24/7 and the location is good, BUT... the man toilettes were smelling soo bad because the flush didn’t really work. The room itself was a double room, with one double bed and a second small bed. The double bed was just made of two big, stacked spring-core mattress. I would’ve really liked to sleep in that with my girlfriend but unfortunately she was the only one having a sleep mask. Above the door were only some Insekt mashes instead of real glass. Besides the annoying light from the floor, we were not only able to listen to the annoying fire alarms which were beeping (empty maybe?!), but also to all people on the floor and even the people in the room next to us, because they had the same “sound protection”. Towels and bed sheets had stains and breakfast was crap.. .Finally we had a cockroach in our room, what definitely lead us to this negative review.

Great location, good breakfast”

Nice place. The location is really central, breakfast has a lot of options and there are lots of bathrooms and toilets. Beds are a bit squiky and not the most comfortable but not bad.

Terrible wifi and noisy street”

It is centrally located and next to metro station, which makes it an okay choice. All the staff speak English well and have been really helpful during my stay. The bed was a little bit small, but the room, in general, was comfortable. You have to wait for very long time to have warm shower water. Besides, the wifi was terrible! I could not get any signal from my room, and have to also struggle in the public space. The room faces directly to the main street, and it remains very noisy during the night. Take your earplugs if you want to stay.

Wonderful compliment to Mexico City trip!”

The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent suggestions to compliment plans we had already made and ideas for free time during our stay. Location was also excellent, right in the historic city center within walking distance of a variety of dining, entertainment and cultural options. We attended two of their tour packages that included an evening trip to a luchador fight and a day trip of a hot-air balloon ride to the pyramids. The breakfast was a little disappointing, we were only able to have fruit and bread. Pancakes were being made, but they were going too fast for us to get any - though they smelled very good.

Average hostel for the price”

Hostel Amigo was not as good as I had expected. We were told our room number on the night we arrived and had to find our own way around the hostel. On the website it looks as though there are lots of areas to sit and chat with other tourists when infact the bar area is quite small & there are really only 3 bar stools and a lounge around a coffee table. The bathrooms were clean & the room was large, although quite sparse as there was only a double bed & bean bag in a huge room. The location was also good, within walking distance to the central square.When we stayed it was quite cool of a night however our room was extremely stuffy as there was only a window that would not open & we were on the second floor, there is a fan but I can't imagine what the room would be like in the warmer months. Staff were reasonably helpful when approached but unless you approached them they would not say anything to you.

部屋にはベッドとロッカーのみととてもシンプルでしたが、ホステル内にはテーブル、ソファーなどの共用部分があり、そこでゆっくり出来ます。シャワーは2階と3階に数個ずつありました。温かいお湯が問題なく出ました。 ホステルを出たらお店がたくさんあり、夜でも困らず食事が出来ました。コンビニも近くにありました。少し歩けばメトロの駅もあるし、立地はよいです。スタッフは3人くらいいましたが、1人がとても感じが悪かったです。 洗濯したものを共用の階段に干している人がいたので、私も干しましたが、数枚服がなくなりました。 朝食の時などに、宿泊している人との触れ合いができるので、友達が出来ました。

Muy buena ubicacion con personal muy amigable”

Es centrico pero no hace mucho ruido como los que estan justo en el Zocalo. El hostal es un viejo pero lo mantienen limpio. Puede reservar tour en local y comprar cerveza sin salir :) el jerente es muy amable!! Lo recomiendo si quiere un hostal con precio razonable cerca de Zocalo.

Hyvät kulkuyhteydet mukava ilmapiiri”

Vietin hostellissa viikon ja kaikki sujui oikein mukavasti. Aamiainen ei ollut mitenkään ihmeellinen, mutta riittävä saamaan päivän alkuun. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä, varsinkin jos puhuu espanjaa. Yksityishuoneet ovat todella viihtyisiä ja oma wc oli plussaa. Hostellin sijainti on keskeinen, mutta keskusta-alue ei ole paras mahdollinen asuinalue. Paljon kauniimpia alueita löytyy Coyoacanista ja Condesasta.
