the king's way hotel was undergoing renovations so we were moved to the petra guest house.
this hotel is right at the entrance to petra.
the ratings are for the petra guest house.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff!”
welcoming and helpful staff; wonderful restaurant staff and good location for overnight trip.
Well looked after and staff helped arrange drivers to other destinations professionally and on time.
Lovely hotel and staff is very good”
Rooms, cleanleness , Price
my stay was very good, the rooms were clean. the staff was friendly and helpful. quiet and peacefull location. it is close to alot of sights.
the dis-appointing things were:
1- the pool was not opened ( that was one of the main reasons I selected this hotel.
2- the breakfast / dinner buffets needed to have more choices, but the food was good.
Great Hotel but dedsperately needs upgrading ”
Service excellent, rooms large
the hotel is a little tired and in need of upgrading. the towels were old and frayed and the lifts seemed to have a mind of their own. unfortunately it is a fair distance from the petra site. they are the only faults, which are far outweighed by the good points. the service was impeccable. all the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. overall, a comfortable, well run and friendly hotel. our three night stay was both comfortable and happy
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
The hotel is located a 5 minute taxi ride (set fare 5JOD)from the Petra site at the top of a hill with an amazing view. The rooms are large and clean(no tea/coffee)and the bathroom amenities are adequate (no shower cap).Good strong shower. No wifi.
Service from staff good”
Hotel was a little out of town but very nice. Rooms were a good size. meal were good and the staff very helpfull.
Kings' Way Hotel,”
The hotel had a nice lobby,
Spacious rooms and good service”
Nice and quiet location.
Far from town centre. Need a car to go to the town centre and Petra.
comfortable stay with moderate facilities. hotel allowed us late checkout upto 2pm. important to have transport to access town centre and petra. its far and quite steep uphill on the way back to the hotel from town centre. staff are courtious. they provided power adaptors and wireless internet connection in the room which was very useful for a minimal fee of 5 jordanian dinars. buffet breakfast is only 7 dinars per person with reasonable variety of food and drinks.
friendly and flexible”
roomy hotel and quite clean with confortable beds
room was a bit old and small windows
staff were great, talkative and friendly - they were flexible as i arrived on the wrong day and they changed the booking without any problems. The bar staff were funny and entertaining and the food was fine. The resturant area was good but maybe I was lucky as there were very few customers and therefore everyone was quite relaxed
Awesome Location, Dated hotel.”
interior is old, bathroom was very small.
Golden Beach hotel was extremely easy to locate as we were driving through Israel in a rental car. The location was right on the sea. The breakfast was included in the price and was definitely a lot better than breakfasts we have had throughout israel. The room was small, but the bed was very comfortable. The Bathroom was very small but it everything functioned and it was clean.
There was wireless internet and also two computers to use for free. However, they seem to be on a very slow connection and tended to freeze up and need to be restarted.
Good service ,but okay rooms. ”
big cafeteria, swimming pool, nice lobby.
location of the hotel, Standard room is upto a real 4 stars's standard room.
The hotel is probably the very first hotel when you enter city of Petra. Meaning if you want to go to center of the town, you probably need to take a cab for another 3 mins. The outside and lobby looks big and nice, however our standard room is small and a little old. If it isn't for the price i'd recommend a more city centre hotel in Petra.
Easy to find hotel with nice staff and good food. ”
Nice staff, good rooms. Good restaurant.
Bit expencive for a hotel not to near Petra entrance.
Since jordan is not one of the rich oil countries, this hotel is certainly doing it's best to be a great hotel. But to our west-european standards it is just not the best but simply good. But is was okay for my family and we enjoyed our stay in Petra a lot.
Never got past the front desk hotel overbooked”
They did arrange another room at another hotel
Kept us waiting before advised;we paid extra cab fare to alternate.
Unable to comment further due to overbooking. After a long trip by air and road it was disappointing to be kept waiting after arrival for room availability, and then told to go to alternate hotel albeit with room presumbly paid by Kingsway.Transportation to alternate hotel at our cost.
Arrangements for hotel transfer from airport took several emails to obtain the correct price.
Great, and comfortably adequate hotel.”
Large hotel, with well-sized rooms, good showers, and friendly staff.
First, let me clarify something, although this is a great hotel, it is not a luxury one; but I hope thats not what you are expecting from a hotel in this area.
The hotel is very comfortable, the staff are friendly. We had our room incorrectly offered to us as a twin (rather than double) but they gave us a double suite once we informed them.
The place is busy, full of people from various different tours of Petra. The showers are very adequate with good water pressure. There is wifi, a bar, and a restaurant. The choice of food is very limited for breakfast, and dinner but then again, you havent come here for food, you've come top see petra!
Petra is about 10min taxi ride away which is not bad.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place, looking at other hotels in the area, this is one of the top 3-4 large ones that exist.
The prices are not cheap but again, even the local restaurants in the nearby town/village are expensive compared the same in London/Dubai/etc! Its a very historical tourist site, where you are expected to spend a little more!
Rooms okay for a few nights”
Rooms in the annex were quiet
Water in swimmingpool was icecold.
Rooms were clean Price-quality is okay.
You need a car because of the distance to Petra.
Value for Money
For what we paid the hotel was of excellent value. They arranged taxis etc. without a fuss. Food was good, but no orange juice only Tang for breakfast. It spoiled things for the need to cut cost. Bar staff excellent very helpful.
Kings Way Hotel - Petra”
Nice swimming pool
Breakfast was ordinary
The hotel is a JD 5.00 taxi journey from down town Petra where all the restaurants are. There is a small general stores opposite otherwise it is very isolated.
Reasonable Hotel in Petra”
Easy access, free parking in front of the hotel, friendly staff, clean, good value for money for short overnight stay.
You need a car to get to the entrance of Petra. Atmosphere in hotel lobby/ hotel bar is not very inviting to stay for a longer time to chill out.
