to enter the resort, you have to cross the river by boat （RM1）,once there, you will attended by the stuff if you carry some luggage （camera）,just relax, check in and walk to your chalet, you are in the forest. the rooms are all equipped with balcony, i enjoy it the most. food in the cafeteria is mostly western, price is fair enough especially you are in the jungle. some easy spot you can explore by yourself if you are a adventurer, such as Lubuk Simpon （swimming）,Canopy walk, Bukit Terisek（hiking）,and etc, they are clearly pointed with direction, no guide is needed. Boating is another activity you must have, either going to waterfall or aborigines village is equally worthy. 3 days 2 night is a minimum, you could join cave camping or mount tahan hiking if you have more days to spend.
we booked 3 rooms for 3 nights, some of the room the facilities are not well maintain. one of the room connection doesn't have mini fridge and the safety box is spoiled. but overall the service is good and the bed are comfortable. Not much animal you can see in the jungle but is relaxing and close to nature.
Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable, staffs were friendly and good breakfast. Beautiful nature hotel, big trees, we saw beautiful birds, frog and we saw 3 wild boars were looking for food at night. The hotel was kind to add a bed for free for my children.
TAMAN NEGARA VACATION”
Excellent. Services & Food
We have stayed here twice now. Great location and excellent activities and tour guides
Can't get closer to Taman Negara”
This is a great resort right at the entrance to Taman Negara. You literally cannot get closer to the entrance. The cabins are well cared for and the grounds well tended, although the monkeys try their best to wreak havoc. The resort restaurant produces a good variety of western and local food that is very tasty. The beef rendang was particularly nice. Breakfast was simple but had an adequate variety - if you're hiking you don't want to have a heavy breakfast anyway.
The resort also offers a limited range of activities, including boat cruises along the river, night walks, and guided walks, but all of these requite a minimum of four people. Unfortunately the boat cruises only leave at 9:30 and 2:30 - times when there is little chance you'll see any wildlife. It would be great if they could offer such tours at dawn and dusk, when native animals are likely to come to the river in search of food or water.
Great place for a retreat. Love the jungle and trees. Canopy walk was a great experience.”
Chalet main door (No.95) need a privacy/security lock inside. Hot water shower head broken spurting water sideways need repair/replacement.
Would be nice to have more drinking water for tea/coffee.
Generally room clean and comfortable.
Thank you for a great getaway.
