really good place to stay. rooms are really nice for the value”
the most amazing is the staff. they are so.lovely and helpfull. they give you this feeling of sadness when you have to say goodbye
Good to stay”
It feels intimate as limited number of rooms. Not many used the facilities (pool, rooftop garden, library) so it feels like its yours at all time.
The bed was very good to me, the pillows as well... of course we varies in our preferences.
The tv channels limited, but sufficient to me. The room was cold even without the aircond. so it was a plus. The room was clean as well... I had the triple room, and both beds were big, with separate toilet and shower room of good size.
Please note this is not five stars, but it was very cozy and comfortable to me.
Will I be back? yes....
Bfst was good... toasts, fried rice, roti canai and to order bfst (i.e. range of eggs style, baked beans, french toast or pancakes).
Parking at street side. Located just next to the mall... (avenue mall).
Great stay at Noordin House”
Checking in was very easy and Kak Mala was super helpful when she notify us about the parking coupon requirements. The Room was clean and spacious as advertised. Good selection of breakfast considering the rate we are paying. Overall was a pleasant stay and would definitely return for our next visit.
Really nice and small boutique hotel and super welcoming hosts!”
ot only did my son enjoy the pool and me the whole atmosphere — the hosts Sandra and Nickles made this stay our favorite one in Malaysia. We have felt so welcome and they gave us a lot of tips! We will for sure come back! Thanks Sandra &. Nickles!!! ❤️🙏
Sandra &Nichlas couldn’t do enough for us...from tour advise to a pot of tea...great area too!
Great location close to the malls etc yet far enough away to chill out in comfort table little nooks and crannies. Sandra and Nicholas did an outstanding job in unobtrusively making the traveller feel at home and well taken care of. Full marks!
I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Heritage building with modern bathroom and large bedroom locked with an old fashioned padlock.
The only problem was wifi, which was rectified by purchasing a Yes simcard for RM30 with 20gb of data.
Staff were very good, and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable.
Just around the corner from three shopping malls where we caught the free bus which transported us around the city.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay. Next time we are in Penang, will definitely stay again.

A tad rundown, but quaint nonetheless!”
The Silk room at Noordin St House was perfect for our little family. The last flight of stairs were a bit steep, but still very manageable for our little ones aged 3 & 5, I'd recommend against this for those with limited mobility though. The rooms were clean, and Sandra & Noordin SH's staff were lovely. They went above and beyond in their quest to please, and we felt very welcome. The place does feel a bit old, and with a little sprucing up, could look and feel a lot better... but for the price you pay for the room, can't hold that against them. Not to forget that it IS after all a very, very old building! Good part about being *just* outside the main heritage area means ample parking after hours :) We wouldn't mind staying here again.
