Con- booking room,( the garden room) but on arriving was told room is not available. Go figure
We booked the garden spa which cost $AU425, but the room didn't worth this price. We spend two days trip in Daylesford. We were back to hotel after 9 pm, then we saw a remind card said that only use the spa from 9am to 9pm. So next day morning before we checked out at 11 am, my boyfriend wanted to have a try. But the spa didn't work due to the technic connection. We have to contact reception to arrange staff to fix it. We hope the check-out time could be deferred to 12 o'clock. But the staff say no. Only half hour could be extended. We paid such a lot money, but enjoy nothing. And the room is old and several black worms in the bathroom. So disgusting. We will never come again.
Very happy with our Stress Relief Break”
In House Massage Therapy, Restaurant, surroundings.
Excellent. No significant complaints.
Tranquility and relaxation”
the breakfasts, the grounds, the location
We had a very relaxing stay which is just what we needed. The breakfasts are excellent. You can help yourself to a variety of cereals, yoguts, fruits and juice followed by a tasty a la carte freshly cooked hot breakfast. No lukewarm bain marie items which have been sitting around for a couple of hours. The indoor spaces are very comfortable and the gardens exquisite. There was a spa bath in the room with the appropriate soaps provided for a very relaxing bath. But there was a dearth of hanging space in a very small cupboard which was also partially occupied by an ironing board and no chest of drawers. We had to lay out our clothes on the extra bed in the room as there was no where else to put it. The restaurant facilities in the hotel need to be reorganised. The chef who had earned the Chef's Hat rating at the Argus Restaurant had left and the restaurant menu seemed somewhat provisional and overpriced. But I think this will be rectified in time. Overall we had an excellent stay with excellent value for money and would not hesitate staying at this hotel again.
This was a really fabulous place to stay”
Gorgeous rooms, gorgeous food, fantastic staff
Great Weekend Away”
My wife and I racently stayed at Peppers Mineral Springs. We found the Staff to be very helpful and the rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. An excellent base for a great weekend.
Classy and quiet”
Ambiance, food, sleeping comfort
This hotel was luxury from the moment we entered with stylish dining areas, big fireplaces for enjoying a good book and wine next to, the mineral springs to relax in and the amazing beds for sleeping. The restaurant is a must for lunch or dinner and the breakfast buffet is a rich and opulent treat. Take time out from your hectic life to walk around the gardens and you will soon think you are living in days gone by where the world moved at a slower pace.
Lounge, large bathtube, eletric blanket
The ambience in lounge is good.
Relaxing romantic getaway”
Reasonably priced rooms, spa treatments that are competitively priced yet good quality and fine dining cuisine.
Peppers Mineral Springs Retreat is a reasonably priced hotel for those seeking a quiet, romantic and relaxing getaway. The room prices are competitive in comparison to similar hotels in the area. The spa treatments on offer are also competitive in comparison to some of the other establishments in the local area. My wife and I both indulged in a massage - my deep tissue massage hit many tense spots, whilst my wife's relaxation massage was very good but not amazing. The food can only be classed as fine dining, with exceptional dishes matched with expensive prices - expect to pay $250 for 2 people, 3 courses and matching wines. We were there on a Thursday night, so the restaurant atmosphere was quiet due to the sparse diners that night. I would definitely recommend Peppers to anyone traveling to Mineral Springs or Daylesford (3-minute drive).
Room, location, friendly and helpful staff
Excellent in all respects - could not fault a thing
rubbish with bad staff far too expensive ”
Absolute rubbish, the rooms do not reflect the price at all, our mini bar consisted of someone's half eaten ice cream with bugs in it.
