Island Hopping advantage”
We were a group of eco-volunteers having some relaxation time after a hectic, challenging but fun experiences. Raymen gave us the opportunity to enjoy Island hopping and meals at their floating restaurant. It was a peaceful weekday adventure.!
Nice resort, a bit remote, but lots to do”
A typical beach resort, a bit of the path for international tourists. Some limitations in the restaurant. Would recommend renting a car or scooter for your stay. Very helpfull and friendly staff. Internet is irratic. Very nice area. Good food in the restaurant, except the shrimp wich was VERY overcooked. Mostly filipino food.
Best beach location.”
My bestfriend and I made a quick visit in Guimaras since we’re in Iloilo. We booked a room (which is the only available one here in Agoda) for 4 but we’re only 2. The room was really spacious and clean. The aircon works fine. The bathroom is nice, the water current in the shower is good. The location of this place is the best for beach bums, it’s right at the beach! The nice view iis right at your finger tips. Another good thing about this hotel is their restaurant is their restaurant, they serve really delicious food, and the mangoes! OMG, the mangoes taste amazing. So, if you are travelling in a bgger group, maybe for 4, this is really affordable. The only downside here is maybe their suoer slow internet connection which can only be availed near the swing, but even if you’re there... it’s no use. Other than that, Raymen is a good place to stay... Stay in Raymen, eat at ther restaurant! :)
Nice stay at Raymen”
Staffs were helpful. The resort is okay. They have the basic things you need in your stay. The beach is clean and well maintained making it so inviting. They have a cafeteria, but serving time takes 30-45mins. You can order in advance and set your preferred time (option only available to resort guests). They have the sweetest mango products. We almost had mangoes in every meal. Their mango shake is the best! They also offer cheap island tour.
Fantastic food ”
Raymen has one of the best restaurants on Guimaras the food is excellent and so cheap for instance a large Bangus (the national fish of the Philippines) grilled was just 180 peso Its worth going there just for the food
Good location but still can improve”
+Good location since it is along the beach +Value for money +Cheap food in the canteen -Rooms and facilities look old -Wifi is not available in your room
Consider checking other resorts first”
Need to ask wifi because they didn't told us upon check in. They changed the password everytime and wifi is weak.My internet data is much more reliable. We availed the Island Hopping tour and we didnt went to the sea turtle Island so be aware while doing the tour to maximize what u paid for. Restaurant is good and food are tasty but one staff ask for payment for plastic cups when we used it for free the night before. Room we got is for family and it's quite small. They charge us for extra person which cost 300php/bed. No complimentary breakfast or bottled water. Beach was really nice though, the main reason I booked here.
A quiet getaway”
We had a great time in this resort. The staffs are nice but they could improve their bathroom a bit more. The beach is clean but the pebbles are sharp so it's best if you can bring aqua shoes. Their restaurant food is great. We love their shrimp sinigang and the grilled pork.
My Score: 7/10 - it’s 9.5/10 if NO SMOKING is strictly implemented ”
I always love Raymen. I come here at least 6times a year for so many years. This is the first time I have to rate them. Here are my scores: foods are delicious & fresh. - 9.5/10 Safety. - 8/10 Very helpful & accomodating staff. - 10/10 cleanliness of the rooms - 7.5/10 Beach area for kids - 9/10 Tourism- 9/10 The ONLY problem I, most of the time, encountered in Raymen is, they don't have a specific smoking area. When it’s peak season, you can see anybody smoke/vape in almost all the areas of the resort. There is no “NO SMOKING” sign except in rooms. I already told one of their staff about this & she said they will look into this. The last time we’re there, the resort is polluted with cigarette smokes. When you’re swimming in the beach, every time you take a deep breath, u smell smoke. U walk in the hallways, smoke. U sit & relax in your picnic hut, smoke. To the smokers, maybe Raymen is heaven for you. But for some of us, who seek for fresh air, & have asthma, it’s no good.
Mini Boracay without the crowd”
This resort can only be reached by tricycle as most resorts and tourist spots. The room is small but clean. But the food and beach makes up for what the room lacked. The seafood is always fresh and the food in their restaurant is cheap and they give you generous servings. But the best part of the resort is the beach. the water is pristine and the sand is soft. Only a small part of the beach is pebbly, but no need to wear aqua shoes. It is like mini boracay without the crowd, which makes it more relaxing if you want to enjoy a quiet time by the sea. This resort is also where the island hopping boats depart from. If you stay in other resorts, you still have to come to this resort for island hopping. So might as well stay here.
Maganda location/beach. Okay din naman rooms, but the water coming out sa shower not nice yung smell, not sure if deep well ba and hindi ganun kalakas pressure kaya hirap maligo. Perfect naman yung aircon nila. Mahal food sa resto,
A friend and I booked an overnight stay at Raymen. It takes some time to reach the area from the port of Guimaras (approximately 30 minutes, I think!). The place is good enough, it's clean and well kept. The staff are accommodating and they are always there to respond to our needs. Although the room is a bit small, it's spacious enough for one to two people. The price is okay, I think it's one of the cheapest in the area. Their room rate does not include breakfast, but Raymen has a restaurant inside their resort, which offers good food for a reasonable amount. There is a wide variety/selection of food to choose from, so you need not go out of the resort to buy your meals. The resort is located along the beach, so swimming is very convenient. They can also make arrangements for island hopping.
Nice beach and location”
Stayed here for a night last October 2016 and we both enjoyed it. It is situated beachfront so its very accessibe. They have wifi access from the pantry and the lobby area. Food is ok but I dont recommend te la paz batchoy from stall outside the resto. We found a fly in our bowl because the ingridients isnt covered. Staff were nice and quick. Room isnt spacious but clean.
Might consider another alternative (if any)”
The food is great and you can go outside to JM's Seafoods Place if you want an alternative. The room is a little small but it's okay if you're not really that particular. There is no pool but the beach is open until 12 midnight. The beach can get crowded during weekends specially because the resort is also open to day trips and walk ins. Staff is really helpful and nice though.
The best place to be in the area”
Very crowded when we came. Food choices were limited in the area but luckily the food in the resort wasn't too bad. The beach was nice with designated net enclosed swimming zones so as not to interfere with other activities.
Very relaxing, value for money and so much more!”
We were travelling with an infant so the flight, the airport transfer, the ferry, and the trike to the resort were all very stressful. But upon arriving at the resort, checkin was very quick. Rooms are nice and clean and very relaxing. They initially had reserved a room for us, but we requested if we could have one as close to the beach as possible. So they gave us one overlooking the beach!! Then we headed down to the canteen. They've a wonderful spread of choices. Local and international. And all were so delicious. MAJOR TIP: order the mango shake. It's to die for. All in all we absolutely enjoyed our stay. It was well worth the stress of travelling with an infant.
