this is an excellent heritage property that was restored and converted to a homestay. we spent a couple of nights and thoroughly well taken care of by the staff - right from the front desk to the service staff and those in the kitchen. food offered is lip-smacking - so we didnt feel the need to explore for food outside at all. town center is a little distance away but within a 10 min car ride. will definitely go back to this place whenever we visit Abu next
grat holiday at hotel altus”
nicely furnished roms, friendly staff, good dinner
we were very happy in the hotel, very clean and well maintained, fabulous view, friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms with antique furniture, spacious bathrooms, very comfortable
Pleasant homestay boutique hotel - but overpriced”
The manager's efforts to ensure his guests are comfortable
A very disappointing stay given the cost of the reservation. While the hotel concept is great – a small boutique homestay with just 6 rooms set in an old colonial manor house, the value for this service was perhaps 50% to 70% of what we paid. The views from the hotel terrace are fine and breakfast in the veranda is enjoyable. The rooms are large and spacious, although old colonial heavy furniture with an eclectic mix of art around the walls. A slightly better than basic bathroom that some hotels in India offer, but you still have the usual 20 minute wait between taking showers for the water to heat. The food was quite good, although one meal of chicken was unfortunately the most undercooked meal ever seen – being red with blood in large portions. The best part was the manager who regularly attends to the guests to see if he can accommodate or help them. So overall better than an average hotel and would be happy to stay here again if the price were perhaps 40% to 50% less.
