The hotel is nicely located in central Lisbon. Rooms are big and clean. Restaurant on ground floor offered variety of nice food and it was not expensive at all. Breakfast was not included in my room as it would bring the price up by about £20 or so. However it cost me €10(£8) to buy it on site. The hotel itself is quite big. Nights are quiet. Room had a clean nice bathroom, big bed, lots of storage facilities, safe, TV(with Portuguese channels mainly) and a fridge with cokes, beers and some other drinks. There was no kettle in the room.
Reception area can be busy at times and reception staff are not very welcoming. They didn't smile and looked exhausted by the number of guests arriving.
Overall, I was happy with my experience. Will be booking this hotel next time.
Pedestrian at Conference”
Staff at desk, room service and restaurant superbly friendly and helpful. Never had better! 30 minute walk to conference my choice. External noise minimal, but baby crying at 4-00am and reaction to Ronaldo missed penalty a little too audible from other rooms.
food, location and room
Clean, great breakfast, bad location”
Clean, breakfast, price
On a map it appears this hotel is close to downtown but it is not. Looks close to the water but there is a major road, fence and railway blocking access. The hotel is literally next to a major bridge that is noisy from the trains going over the bridge (get a room on the other side).
The breakfast was outstanding, great choices, lots of variety, excellent.
Did not like that we had to pay for wifi in the room. It was only free in the lobby.
Hotel is not near any metros, only bus lines that can be reached at the end of the block. If you walk a few blocks, you reach a major bus station with many more busses, which is especially helpful during rush hour and late at night.
Room was clean.
We got a last minute deal so we were ok with all this, but would not be if paid regular prices.
Chic and Slick”
This hotel, quite slick and modern, with an air of hustle and bustle amid the docks near where the Tagus River meets the ocean, certainly is trendy, yet nestled in a quiet, secluded area, yet has easy access to the buses and trams . The staff have their own very young sense of humor and the breakfast is huge and nicely served
There is a high charge for use of the room safes and the internet in the lounge
There is a sense of discovery and adventure as you approach the suspension bridge spanning the harbor at the docks near where the Tagus River meets the ocean. Almost at the water's edge and almost under the bridge nestles this quite slick and trendy hotel, with an air of hustle and bustle, yet in a quiet, secluded area, with its own papyrus and water gardens, that still has easy access to the buses and trams headed for a quick trip to city center. It is a short walk form Cais de Sodre station for the trains to Sintra and Cascais. The staff have their own very young sense of humor. For example, at check-in I asked where the elevator was and the man on desk said, "See that Japanese Lady over there?" I looked and looked, finally realizing he was referring to one of the many opera mannequins in the glass case dressed as Madame Butterfly, pointing to the elevator. This is an opera-themed hotel and all the rooms are named after the famous opera stars. Even the doormen are constantly joking and delightful; and I am afraid that perhaps this has been misinterpreted by some who may have given the staff a bad review in the past. The breakfast is huge and nicely set out with huge slabs of quince jam and a good variety of breads and sweet rolls and a variety of hot breakfast drinks and cold juices with broiled tomatoes, sausages, bacon, cold meats, and two types of scrambled eggs. Rooms are quite comfortable
Confort correct, room servioce
Hotel vila gale opera”
sinceramente nao encontrei nenhuma
