The room was massively large, and very clean. If you're only staying one night as I was, you don't need all that space, it's just an.opportunity to lose something by spreading your gear everywhere. The bed was the softest out of all hotels I've stayed in, in three weeks in Taiwan.
What I didn't like was the residue of cigarette smoke in the room. Even the sheets smelt of cigarette smoke. I'm an athlete doing a cycling tour and having to smell that while you try and sleep is awful. Get with the times and stop letting people smoke in your rooms. There is no reception desk so when I pulled up on my bike, they wanted to see my passport in the driveway. I had to ask to go inside their office to avoid pulling out my gear on the driveway. The check in wasn't professional. There is no key for the unit, so if you want to leave and go get get food, you press the roller door button and have to run under it before the door shuts on you. A block away there was a 7-eleven. Only 1 powepoint in room
An awkward stay”
We are expats living in Taiwan and were looking for a nice place to stay near the ocean in Tainan. To our surprise, this turned out to be a "love motel!" After the first stage of awkwardness, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was luxurious, and we could overlook the stained couch. We ended up happy with our stay!
