The hotel is ok, location is good but the breakfast is very poor... They had run out of jam and all juices. The coffee looked like a "muddy puddle" - completely undrinkable. The toaster was broken. The quality of the cooked food was very poor.
The staff was unknowledgeable and slow - and they tried to charge me again even though i had already paid via Agoda!
2 days after I left this hotel i stayed in a 4star hotel in center of Oxford (for the same price!) and it was soo much better. The white rabbit needs a reality check on its prices!!
Ok, but overpriced”
Location, nothing else was good
White Rabbit Hotel by Good Night Inns”
Service and staff attention among the worst we've seen
Comfortable bed, big room, nice location
We both have dietary requirements and so tried to ring the hotel in advance but got no reply despite trying several times. Tried to contact the hotel through Agoda who also tried contacting the hotel but got no response. On arrival first impressions are that the hotel needs refurbishing, wallpaper and paintwork both looking tired, corridors dark, room shabby. On the bright side the room was spacious and a fan was supplied to cool the room, the bed was comfortable and the shower powerful and consistently hot, although the seal was coming away from the shower door. More worrying was a large lcd television mounted high on the wall on a bracket seemingly only held securely by one out of three screws!!!
Breakfast was a bit disappointing- same price for continental and full English. Don't see why they can't charge less for the continental. Also they only had butter available which seemed daft as, to their credit, they could supply soya milk for those who are dairy free and gluten free bread. The breakfast buffet also seemed to lack variety compared with some of their competitors.
The problems with the shower door seal and the television were reported to the staff who were always courteous and helpful.
In its current state I would not classify this hotel as '3 Star' - the building needs a little TLC and more thought is required about the breakfast menu.
It was just passable for one night but we wouldn't stay longer than that.
staff manager location
unfortunately we were not able to stay as White Rabbit did not have your booking they found us a room at the Pennyfathind BB at a cost of £44 after a funeral in Leicester and a 150 Mile drive we were not happy bunnies and am still very upset and would like our money back.
look forward to your response
Service with a smile”
Staff, cleanliness, food
We were moved into family room as we needed twin beds, that was a positive. No drawers to put anything, mirror in bathroom only suitable for a 6ft to 7ft person. No grab rails for use of shower, important for less able people. If it was a family staying for more than one or two nights it would be impossible as far as unpacking was concerned. Access to rooms via myriad of stairs and corridors was difficult, should be made known when booking. Staff ever helpful and polite. Food good. Breakfast buffet good, plenty of choice.
