Holiday Inn New Orleans French Quarter Hotel”
Courtyard 2 Double Beds Non Smoking
Prefectly located hotel near restaurants and bars”
This was a nice hotel, perfect for a long weekend of food and drinks. You can find better, more romantic hotels if that's what you are looking for but for those looking to stay outside the room and be close the action, I recommend this hotel.
Courtyard 2 Double Beds Non Smoking
My brother and I stayed in this hotel during Mardi Gras. We had a difficult time finding it since many roads were blocked during that time. Once we found it, everything went well, the lady assigned in the parking area was very accommodating. She was all smiles and gave us a warm welcome. The room was good...but not awesome. The bathroom is small and need updating. It takes some time to wait for the lift. The hotel is conveniently located and the staff has been so warm and nice. If ever I come back to New Orleans, I'm very much open to staying here again.
Great location in french quarter area.
Walking distance to main street, shops and restaurant.
Wonderful view on the upper floor.
The room is big, but the bathroom is small.
staffs are helpful and the room was clean
a moldy smell from the air-conditioner and it sound very loud too.
Perfect location in French Quarter”
Location, friendly staff
Staff was very friendly. They checked us in very efficiently and answered all our questions. Our room was on the 19th floor, which meant we had to take two elevators up to get there, but it seemed like it was worth it. The top 3 floors looked newer. Sound still carried up so you can still hear all the noise from Bourbon Street. The room was spacious enough, plenty of outlets for all our electronics. Parking got tight because of all the local football games and conferences going on in town but the staff accommodated all hotel guest parking. I would stay here again.
Fantastic location, great service”
Close to the Streetcar stops, Close to Bourbon Street and some great restaurants and bars. Within walking distance of everything.
Fantastic location, close to everything. Comfy beds and friendly helpful staff.
The service is great. It's in CBD area near French quarter.
The service is great. It's in CBD area, near French quarter. There are shopping malls around, the river is within walking distance. The air-con is a bit loud.
Great position - great staff”
The welcome we received even at 12.30 am was friendly and helpful. The position of the hotel means that you can walk to all the French Quarter and ferry/harbor locations within 10 minutes.
More than half the restaurants and bars have live music so you won't get bored with everything from Cagen to Rock so all tastes are catered for.
I have marked the hotel down on cleanliness as there was building work going on inside the hotel and did cause some mess.
We are going to Istanbul, Turkey on Oct. 11, 2011.
We are trying to book 3 rooms for 6 adults. We are interesting with Sultanahmet King Palace Hotel. my questions are:
1- Is there air conditioning in the room?
2- Why the Hotel have no reviews from customers?
3- I see it has only 1 star and some other with 5 stars, so what stars stand for?
Mardi gras dom room, Great location”
loaction to Bourbon st.
clean room, great location for Mardi Gras and good security.
Clean hotel and friendly staff”
Very clean lobby, the room was big and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
had a bit of a stale smell, but they said the power had been off for 2 days due to a storm.
This was my first stay in New Orleans. I wasn't prepared for the crazy atmosphere. I just needed to stay the one night, in order to leave for a cruise the next morning. I have to say that I will never visit the city again. The hotel was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. They even helped me carry my bags to my room. It was a nice quiet sanctuary away from the crazy nuts in the streets. There is always a taxi waiting outside too, which was very convienient for me. I would definatly recommend this hotel, due to it's courteous staff, and cleanliness.
The good bad and the ugly”
The service was great! The people were very helpful and friendly. Even the lady who had a trainee badge was very informative. The double room on the 19th floor was a nice size. Free internet service worked with no hiccups.
Cleanliness- a friend of mine checked out after looking at his room. There was trash debris in the bathroom. Hair strands and plastic wrap on the floor, and more hair in the tub.
Overall it was good value for the price I paid. While a friend checked out, I did not think it was that bad. The internet connection was great and easy to set up. The location was good too, not too far from Canal street. Pretty much most of my destinations were within walking distance. The lobby can get a little congested around check out time. But the service staff was very accomodating and very helpful. Even when there were mixups with guests they resolved things very nicely. Overall I would give the hotel a C+.
great location; room good sized
There aren't enough elevators. Checking out was a nightmare, stopping on every floor with a full elevator. Also, if you have a room on the 19th or 20th floor as I did, you have to go to the 18th floor and then take another eleveator!
Also, there wasn't enought hot water one morning
The Holiday Inn French Quarter was a disappointing experience. Although the location is good, there weren't enough desk people there to check you in or out. Also, they need more elevators, very slow going up and down. The rooms are old and run down, although clean. When the hot water wasn't working one morning, the engineer was prompt to arrive, but there wasn't much water even then. There are better hotels in the french quarter and downtown with the same good location, but better service and quality.
Perhaps when the renovation is done, it will be ok if well priced.
Holliday Inn French Quarter”
Good Stay, good price, close to everything. No free breakfast. No free parking. Very close to Bourbon Street. Jackson Square is a must see! We had a great time.
