The best hostel in the world, no joke ”
This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at. I literally consider this place a second home. The hostel is owned by the nicest british couple you’ll ever meet. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I have never loved a place I have stayed more. I have met some of my best friends and my boyfriend at this hostel. Literally could not say enough good things. You’re making a mistake if you aren’t staying here.

Staff are friendly”
It was a good place to stay and staff and owners are very nice. Needs some work done to it as we didn’t have a hot shower and the windows sound as if you are outside.

My best stay in Thailand”
I had an amazing few days here. The whole staff is amazing, friendly. I was here for the full moon party and all the solo people came out at the bar for pre party fun, body painting and trust me, take the bucket from here rather than the beach cause its totally legit alcohol at the bar. We all went together and had agreat time. If you just want to chill at the bar or sit outside, its great to talk to people and I met some good folks. Special prop to the British owner/host ( sorry dont remember your name from all the drinking haha ), he is a legend with his stories. We shared too many beers during the stay. Although, its a bit far from the beach where the party is but it is the place to stay, meet people and have a good time. Cheers till the next time Im there :D

Good value but not the cleanest place”
Super friendly and helpful staff. A great location near food markets, shops, restaurants etc. Great free breakfasts with HP Brown Sauce! Good chill area with bar and food. Room wasn't very clean, mouldy pillow, stained bedding with holes.

Awesome time!”
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night while we went to the Full Moon party and had an amazing time! The owner welcomed us with a free shot and a smile. After putting our bags in the room we went back down and ordered some food and they serve the best burger we have had in all of Thailand so far! They organized a pre-full moon party also so all the guests came down for drinks and a game of beer pong, which was awesome and they also arranged taxis for us all to get to the party. Although we read on this site that kyakas are available to use, they sadly are not as that is old advertising, but a light breakfast is included. Room was clean, the shower was remarkably hot which we loved and overall a great atmosphere!

Perfect value for money”
Everything was fine, and the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially Chloe, kiss kiss! 😘 The bread, some fruit and coffee breakfast is a nice addition.

Outstanding Staff”
Facilities and cleanliness are pretty standard. However I cannot fault the staff at Goodfellas - they pushed for us to get involved and meet new people. Chloe was particularly amazing - you felt you’d made a real supportive friend out of her rather than just someone who worked at goodfellas! Her and Steve were particularly helpful in a tough situations and I cannot be more greatful.

Very dirty with stained filled sheets”
The first day, the sheets were obviously used by someone else and had stains on it. The bathroom very dirty and the smell from the streets was not exactly from Chanel store. Not just I but another couple complained about their bed sheets because they smelt of BO. Not hygienic and not value for money

staff is really helpful. They had this shortage and had given me a single bedroom instead of double, but then Jessie the reception guy came back with an apology and number of solutions. overall good atmosphere, recommended for solo travellers.

Mostly good ”
Very friendly personal! Nice room, good price. Our room was on the highest (4th) floor with a very good view. A small inconvenience - it is forbidden to bring food and drinks to the rooms and for some reason we need to take off our shoes in the common area.

Alright for a couple of nights”
Plus is that you can use the swimming pool of the sister resort just a couple of minutes away. Our room had a fridge but you aren’t supposed to bring any food or drinks to the room so once again not my idea of a hostel. It’s situated on a very busy road which can get quite noisy and not a great spot to enjoy your poor complimentary breakfast( food coffee though). No social atmosphere. Jessy the owner / manager is nice really nice though.

Price good but experience terrible!”
The owner is nice and helpful but, 1/. Many yellow ants come from bed mattress/cover found after check in for 30 min. 2/. No notice or remedial action for halt on water supply from early morning , but knock yr door to urge u to check out on time on 11:15am. 3/. Very noisy from the man street for whole night

Bit further than the map said”
This hostel is tied in with the Hacienda beach resort so you can use their pool and chairs which are next to the beach. The room was ok despite having quite a few people in, beds are not the sturdiest and there is a few flights of stairs. The room got a bit dirty with sand in and they gave us toilet paper and soap but didn't clean the room fully every day. Price was cheap for the area although not for Thailand, staff were ok although you can book some things cheaper yourself like ferry tickets from the port.

looks like time has stoped here”
It was dirty cheape here (less than 100 baht for bed) but room looks like it's been untouched since my last visit last year. Could be cleaned a little bit more and ventilate it so it dont smell like moisture. But for me location is great just across Makro and 7-11 + lots of bars and restaurants. You get what you pay for
