No sleep No WI FI”
We were told there is traffic noise in room 1 but we are used to traffic noise so we took the room rather than pay another $35 for an upgrade. A truck rumbled pass every 2 minutes .. unbelievable noise. We were absolutely unable to sleep. WI Fi was not working in our room so we had to stand in the drive.

What a package!”
The Baywatch is and has always been quality. They just go a bit further for you. They made sure the spacious room was warm and the bed turned down. Bed was super comfy. Staff warm and friendly too. So close to restaurants and town and of course the mighty Caroline Bay!

Perfect”
We were greeted with great service and though we were happy with our room we were upgraded to an even larger suite with a spa bath and lazyboy loungers to relax in and enjoy the sea view. Rooms are serviced daily and complimentaries topped up. Excellent rooms and facilities which are exceptionally clean and the staff are ALL so polite friendly to ensure we had a perfect stay. The Motels in a great location to walk to town restaurants and access the beach. Trains didn't wake us nor bother us as many report in reviews. We definitely recommend and hope to return on our next S.I. trip

Good location and facilities”
Good location, easy to find. Stayed here for just one night, but would have been ok for longer. Easy walk into town and down through the park to the beach. The location is on main road, so front units may get some noise but mid-way back we had no problems. Room was comfortable and enough space for a short stay.

It had everything we needed but unfortunately it was a really smelly room! Not sure if was previously used by smokers but it was really bad, especially in the one bedroom. The bathroom was also smelly. But it was clean and good location.

Would stay here again”
Booked for 2 nights. 1st night was in room 1 which is at the road end of the complex. Lots of lorry traffic on way to port during that particular night, which was not sleep condusive! So, next morning asked if we could be moved to a quieter room. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we moved into room 9. Were advised that the port trains ran along the back of the property through the night, but took a chance! 2 trains passed during the night with minimum disturbance. The view from this room was fabulous - looking out to the bay and beach with the port to one side. The room was very comfortable.

Superb rooms! ”
Equipped with kitchen utensils. Rooms are unique, the 2nd floor can fit up to 4 ppl and 2 ppl downstairs. The only downside is that there is only one bathroom. Vehicles can be parked right outside your room. Near shopping streets, some gas station, bakery, McD (easier to explore by car).

Pro- clean, good size Con- located on Hwy 1-if windows open you hear a lot of Hwy noise. West sun facing rooms get afternoon heat and no A/C

Upgrade to success”
I've stayed several times. Occupancy was down. Professional advice on a $1000 upgrade on each suite is all they need. I lived over Caroline Bay for 40yrs. Their view is their fortune. Just a little modernisation.

The stay was OK, but spoilt by being met with an unfriendly lady at reception. We were told to go away for an hour, after calling earlier and being told a good time to arrive. There are much friendlier motels in Timaru. I know as I grew up there.

Waste of time and money!”
My stay overall at this motel was very unpleasant! The man in charge of reception was EXTREMELY rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. After telling him i had a couple of guests coming at 6pm he told me that i was "unbelievable" and wasn't allowed any visitors although was stated that it was ok up until 11pm! I then got called a liar while checking out, would not recommend this motel to anyone! There are plenty of nicer places in timaru with the same amazing views and lovely service!
