I was greeted by friend staff, security and covid protocal adhered at all times. Front desk staff member Elvin or Elvis is very pleasure, I fell really welcome and he was very helpful good peoples skills. Rooms was clean and well presented, I was fortunate to have a room leading to garden and pool area. Fantastic ambiance, no hassle best place to spend your holiday. All the best City Lodge.

Convenient Location & Great Accomodation”
Whenever we are in durban, which is a couple of times a year, we always book at this spot. Location is convenient as the Gateway mall is directly across with restaurants, shops and entertainment. A short drive to Umhlanga main beach. The hotel pool is a highlight as the kids never want to get out. Rooms are always clean and neat. Thank you to the Manager Mr Pillay for arranging for both our rooms to be next each other, also in our requested side of the hotel. He is always friendly and accomodating.

We stay here at least once every 2 months just to let our hair down and spoil ourselves whilst not breaking the bank. Bartender Is a star and staff are the key to this hotels success. Always clean. Gateway is across the road and Mr Delivery and Uber offer a huge variety of food. Be back soon Mr Okkie Brits

Great location, very convenient. Enhle was amazing, she helped us get a family room(we booked on Agoda and Agoda gives you the options for 2 adults and 1 child but don't communicate with the hotel directly). Thank you Enhle. Was alittle disappointed that I requested a non smoking room , an upon arrival I was given a smoking room. Having a child that is 2yrz of age that's not the type of environment that you would want for a child , but whatever the case we enjoyed every bit of it an will definitely be back in the near future

The hotel is a stone throw away from The Gateway Theatre of shopping, I would not struggle with parking since it was a festive season. I went on foot which was some exercise & got my goods -just walked back to the hotel parking & visited the family & friends. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

THE HOTEL AREA IS GOOD. CLOSE TO EVERYTHING THE MOST DISTURBING THING IS THE NOISE FROM THE NEIGHBORING TAVERN I COULD NOT SLEEP BECAUSE OF THE LOUD MUSIC NOISE NEXT DOOR TAVERN. FOR THAT REASON I CAN NOT ADVICE ANYONE TO BOOK IN INCLUDING MYSELF. We travel every year to South Africa and your area is our choice area, for our next visit we have to book away from the Gateaway Mall. We hope you will resolve the noise issue with your neighbors,
