I went to seoul in late may with my family. I booked 2 rooms for four of us.
First, THE LOCATION. The hotel location is very good indeed but you just have to pay attention to the banner above your head or you will easily miss the hotel. So come out of City Hall station Exit 8 and you will see CU convenience store. Look at the road opposite to CU convenience store and you will see Korean Cosmetic Shop “Innisfree”. Then you cross the road and go into the alley behind Innisfree. There should be an alley where you can find lots of restaurants and bistros. Turn right and keep go straight and you will see GS25 convenience store. The alley besides GS25 is where the hotel is at. It is like 100-200 meters away from GS25. Look up when you are at the front of GS25 if you can’t find it. You will see a white banner with black capitalized words “HOTEL EIGHT HOUR” written on it.
Second, the hygiene. The rooms are not too big but the design for whole hotel is not bad. The things including air conditioner, bathroom, toilet(they are separated) are new and clean, which i loved it. BUT, there were smudges on the bed sheet. So better wear long pants or trousers if you have sensitive skin.
Last, they provide excellent service. The two receptionists i met there were super nice. They always wear smile on their face and they were good in english so communication was totally fine. Remembered my last night I came out to reception desk at 10:58 pm, asking lots of questions about things i wanna buy in seoul. The reception was patient and answered me
