I have never made such bad comment to a hotel before. This is rather like a hostel than hotel. The official working hour of front desk is 9am to 10pm, which I thought was fine coz we arrived at 3pm(when check in start). However, the front desk was closed and we couldn’t even get in the hotel coz the door was locked. There was a paper asked us to call a Japanese number and said no reason for absence, as you know traveller cannot have phone to call and neither there was any public phone near.
There was another Japanese customer helped to call and said we would need to wait one more hour for someone to come. Imagine you with 3 big luggages. What a great welcome. We had to spend a lot money to find a locker in other stations to keep our luggage. What’s worse, when we returned to the hotel, the front desk staff (an old Japnese man) did not apology and mention this matter until we brought it up. We expected at least an explanation but there wasn’t any but blank words. I didn’t argue coz I was really tired.
Now I talk about the room. The location was not that good, near the subway but it wasn’t a main one, the walking distance to shopping area is pretty far. The room is not that clean, and there was a disgusting big dirt on the sofa. The room was big though, in Japanese standard. But for this price I have a lot of other choices, at least one that could let me get in.
