Great hosts, no hot shower and minimal breakfast. ”
Very friendly and helpful Mrs. Singh and her daughter manage the Haveli and it is very clean and with comfortable beds. However as much as I like to be positive about places I stay because I recognize how difficult it is to run such accomodations, without renovations to their bathrooms which have hot water tanks but only a drizzle of water (I was supplied a bucket and suggested I fill it and bathe with that which would take 10 minutes to fill). Unfortunately as much as I would like to recommend to fellow travelers or people coming to the Jaipur Literature Festival, this place needs a major upgrade to justify this cost. I had pre-payed via Agoda, so I stayed (lesson learned pre book only 1 night) but others at the festival checked out so other rooms suffered the same issue. If upgrades are made perhaps Agoda could consider recommending this establishment but not at the moment.
Just like in the Hotel Marigold movie”
I was on a budget, that’s why i choose this hotel. But instead i was having a real palace to live in. Run by its real owner, a nice and kind old lady and her kids and a lovely dog. The furnitures and design are vintage, so i’m grateful i found this vintage living heritage for my whole Jaipur trip
Basic guest house, very warm host”
I stumbled across this place as it was highly recommended. The rooms were spacious. But it is an aging facility. So expect shower with no pressure (we ended up using a bucket to actually have a proper wash). Breakfast as basic, just toast. The resident vegetarian dog was a very sweet thing and greeted us warmly each time. Location was average. It was tucked away down an alley. No much in tHe immediate vicinity. Being a Muslim neighbourhood, I got stares walking up and down the street. Luckily I was not on my own. But if I was traveling solo, it would have been but unnerving.
Impressive & very comfortable guesthouse”
Very clean and comfortable and the hosts are very hospitable. Hot water not working in my room, but otherwise had a very pleasant & enjoyable stay.
Expensive for what it is”
In our trip to Rajasthan we stayed in many havelis, this one was the most expensive and the worst we’ve been. Rooms need urgently maintenance: bad matress, old and dirty sheets, no water pressure in the shower, difficult to get hot water. This haveli is recommended in the Lonely Planet guide but i completely disagree with their opinion. Even if it’s near the old city (15 min walk) the hotel is located in a bad neighborhood, special at night time and i wouldn’t recommend it for female solo travellers. Also there are no cafe, restaurant or any decent place to have lunch or dinner nearby. Breakfast is included but is really basic, just tea and 2 toasts with butter and jam. The host is very nice lady but the place doesn’t worth the money you pay for. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Great value for money in quiet haveli”
I traveled to Jaipur for a ceramic symposium as a single woman. Nana Ki Haveli was comfortable and quiet. It is not a good choice for people who party, but it was a lovely experience for me. Mrs. Singh made me several home cooked breakfasts. I felt very well cared for.
The building is beautiful and in a secure location. The area immediately surrounding the property is a little intimidating for solo female travellers, however. Nice breakfast and the owners are extremely nice. The porter/bell boy wanted tips for nothing, which was a bit strange but he wasn't too pressuring. Overall I would recommend this property as a clean, pleasant stay in otherwise hectic Jaipur.
A pretty hotel”
Surely a very beautiful historical architecture. The owner is kind and polite. Egg n toast breakfast. The neiborhood is a bit tense but quiet. WIFI comes and goes ....
Friendliest owner you can imagine!”
The owner of this superb small hotel is super, everything was clean and ready, and we were able to check in at 7:30am and were offered to check out at 6pm the next day because of night trains!
Delightful place to stay”
A beautiful house, kind and graceful owner. Great lication. Much better than a standard midern hotel. A place to stay if you want to trully feel you are in India. The garden/courtyard is great to have a peaceful breakfast. Highly recommended!
Great, friendly guest house in jaipur! ”
Ms singh was very welcoming upon arrival, even though we arrived late. She was a lovely host and very helpful throughout our stay. Her dog, dohlo, was very friendly too! The breakfast included was simple but yummy, including great homemade marmalade. The room was spacious and clean, although the shower was not very powerful. The wifi was slow, but we still really enjoyed our time here. It is located within an easy 10 minute walk of the old city aswell.
Pleasant quiet location and a nice building. Bedroom fine but bathroom poor and needed upgrading. Food/meals poor to non-existent.
Great value for money!”
clean room, very vintage. owners are very warm and friendly. We arrived at 6am and left at 2am in the morning and they were there to greet us both times. They also upgraded us to a deluxe room!
It was very comfortable and the hosts are lovely and friendly. I will always stay here when I come to Jaipur.
The besHome from home in Jaipur”
Nana Ki Haveli is a stunning traditional family home. The rooms have lovely furnishings and are the cleanest in India. The bathrooms are well fitted with hot water when you want it. Sheets are white and spotless and towels are big and fluffy. The haveli has a lovely furnished veranda where you can chill out and a downstairs terrace where you can have breakfast or just sit and relax. Nana Ki Haveli is just a short walk to the pink city and its an oasis of peace and tranquility with good internet. Mrs Singh is the perfect hostess and makes a great breakfast, she always makes time for a chat and will help if you need anything. I came for 5 nights and ended up staying for 9 because I felt at home; very happy and comfortable. Thank you Mrs Singh. You are a star!
It's like travelling in time. The haveli is very spacious, nicely decorated, but the bathrooms need some renovations. The area around is a bit dodgy at night.
Gracious host and atmospheric haveli”
Gloomy atmosphere, showers nit working properly, poor breakfast (warm toasts, butter & cornflakes + canned Fruit juice) . No morning tea, no reception, no help to arrange sightseeing taxi
a beautiful stay!!”
This hotel was recommended and we were absolutely happy to have had a chance to experience the stay here. We could stay at the hotel all day and enjoy the beautiful architecture, hot tea, balcony and sun. The city is not too big so we could go to visit nice places around. Chokhi Dhani was a lil too far (45 mins froms hotel) but we managed to go there and enjoy an evening too. Other evenings we prefered the dinners at the hotel. Really simple menu and not at all spicy (just found the menu little overrated). Totally worth a recommendation. I look forward to be at this hotel if i get a chance to visit the city again. Thank you for the hospitality!
