Bit hard to find in the Medina but wow what is behind the plain wooden door is amazing.
Chantel the owner was away and we were met by Fatima smiling presenting us with mint tea and moroccan cake.
The room was lovely and basic and directly opposite an open terrace, perfect to relax on after a hard day shopping. Lasim was managing the riad and spoke English and quite a few other languages and was so helpful with directions and tours. Outside was noisy and bustling but inside was quiet and peaceful. Fatima even did our washing and we learned to cook local food and ate dinner with the family exchanging stories and photos.....these people are so lovely and we only wished it wasn't booked out or we would have stayed longer. There are a lot of steps so may not suit people with impaired mobility
