Not the worst place we ever stayed at, but not the greatest either. Won’t be back. A few miscommunications with the staff. Tv didn’t work, and they couldn’t fix it. Just run down in general.

Great location and friendly staff”
The location of the hotel is right behind the local super market, making it really convenient to stock up on supplies. The room was well decorated, and the bed is very spacious. We had a small issue with the safe, but friendly staff from the hotel addressed it quickly. The bathroom is quaint and clean. My only issue was that the room did not have a telephone, so we had to walk to the front desk for inquiries.

We LOVED our stay! Right in the heart of one of the best areas in Cape Town. Close to the city and all of the hip and happening spots! Great decor, clean and modern rooms, wonderful staff! It also has 2 bars and 2 restaurants on site! Stay here, you won't regret it! :)

Have stayed here several times...even better since recent Renovations (old name "Village Lodge")...only downside is noise from Rooftop Bar that is open to the drunken public

Have stayed here several times as previous "Village Lodge"...but first time as newly renovated "The Grey"...and much improved. Great base for Cape Town, just walk to cafes, restaurants and Waterfront.
