The Club Lounge; Friendly Staff; Peaceful Beach Area
We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights over the Easter bank holidays & had an enjoyable stay. We understood that this was one of the best hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, however whilst the service and attention to detail was brilliant, the hotel itself seemed rather dated and a little shabby. On reflection, we think this is probably true of most hotels & restaurants in the area.
It is definitely worth opting for a 'Club Room'. The complementary snack/drink services & wifi in the Club Lounge were a bonus (I'd steer clear of the wine though!) and our room location was ideal. Whilst the room itself was a good size - with a comfortable bed & a nice garden area - the bathroom could do with an upgrade, particularly the tiny shower!
The large perimeter, numerous swimming pools & plenty of shady areas make this an ideal hotel for families with small children. Furthermore, it was nice to find that the sunbeds on the beach were very separate, allowing for a bit of privacy.
Lunch in the beach cabanas was lovely, and the barman in the lobby makes a good cocktail. All of the staff (including gardener's) were extremely helpful, courteous & friendly; a real asset to the hotel. Whilst we wouldn't return to Sharm El Sheikh in a hurry, we wouldn't rule out staying here again.

Great location, quiet and peaceful surroundings!”
Not too many kids, nice beach and wonderful service
Food didn't meet my standards
The service was great, all very friendly - from reception to room cleaning staff - and the location was perfect (if you want to stay within a certain distance to all the noise down at the Bay) and yet not to far away from the bay afterall if you so wish to join the nightlife. For those wishing to party, there's a bus shuttle service provided by the hotel (only a 15 minutes ride) that will drop you off and pick you up 4 times during the day, so there's plenty of option there! The hotels beach is also according to standards, especially once you start comparing not only the beach but the hotel as a whole with others nearby...There were hardly no kids around, the activities in near surroundings were not disturbing at all, overall very peaceful invironment. Downsider: Although I ate most of my meals and ordered from the roomservice menu (eventhough options were broad concidering it was a roomservice menu), standards were maybe not the very best, an overall OK menu, maybe a little over an OK; satisfactory! I would definitely go back and stay another week or so!

Not, what one expects from a Ritz”
The Ritz buildings in Sharm are centered in a nicely maintained park. Waterfront and its reef are worth exploring.
Food and service are mostly bad with just a few exceptions. There is no standardized drinks size, fresh glasses were far from a glossy appearance, better don't ask for a rubber taste salad near the pool and don't take your whitest dress to lean in a breakfast arm chair. My room looked outdated and crappy.
Service-wise, I was very disappointed from the in majority untrained und unprofessional staff. Few exceptions appeared, as there was an excellent guy from the housekeeping and the one bar tender made very nice cocktails, whenever he wanted to. The by far best food you'll get is at the Asian restaurant. Going on a dive with the ladies from the onsite WaterWorld dive centre is probably always an excellent choice, if you feel like escaping the boring pool live.

spacious bedroom, bathroom and balcony
plenty of shade available on beach area and around pool.
everywhere very tired, constant noise from somewhere - loud music and amplified voices.
We arrived at the Ritz Carlton full of expectation of 4 days of comfort and relaxation after a fairly hectic holiday. How we were to be disappointed.
We have stayed at Ritz Carlton hotels in the past and much enjoyed the experience, Sharm el Sheikh is not up to standard. Although our room was spacious and comfortable (if a little shabby and and tired) the constant noise made relaxing impossible - 2 complaints to the manager made little or no difference.
Breakfast was fine but again sitting area very shabby. Excellent poolside ,lunch, very poor dinner from a la carte menu, food bore no resemblance to menu description, fortunately relatively easy to eat elsewhere.
I would NOT recommend this hotel and have complained to Ritz Carlton

The Ritz lives up to its name!”
Great location, great snorkeling right in front of the hotel, nice rooms and good service
The temperature in January is a little cold for swimming
This is a beautiful facility, with excellent architecture and nice rooms. A good value for the money. There is a choice of several restaurants, and the club facilities are very attractive. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay here for anyone escaping winter.

The best relaxing hotel in Sharm”
Diving center, swimming pool, restaurent
Hotel is not suitable for kids s there is no sandy beach
The room was very comfortable with a nice terrace with table and chairs. The swimming is awesome - the fish fantastic. Bit boring of an evening. Drinks exorbitant and restaurant prices high. Service was excellent and sun lounge area lovely. Definitely recommend this hotel but take plenty of cash.
