5 Star facilities at 2 star prices”
Trident is a small hotel with a very modern look and very modern facilities, very much up to Western standards. The rooms are very large and spacious, the bed is very comfortable—- I slept like a log. The breakfast buffet includes both western and Indian food and provided great variety (and great coffee!!! Something very difficult to find in most other places that I visited in Bhubaneswar). In a relatively small city in India, I had been concerned that I would not be able to get the sort of amenities I was used to. Trident Hotel met all my expectations, and more. The staff was incredibly helpful and cheerful. They were charming and welcoming. My room was always clean, their turn-down service in the evening was excellent. Perhaps the only thing I missed was that they did not have a spa. I would have welcomed the opportunity to enjoy an Aryuvedic massage in the comfort of my room.
A place to experiance”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Not only for the comforts but also for their friendly staff who are eager to help us to explore the city. When they do not know a particular locality that we were interested, the Manager Mr. Abhimanyu or the front desk Mr. Nabeel or Mr. Sachin would enquire and made sure that our visits were event free. They have genuinely made sure our stay was enjoyable and pleasant. Our arrivals and checkouts and every other aspects were handled in a very smooth manner. I wish them all the best.
Heritage Value at Temple City”
The stay was great. The Hotel is maintained extremely well. I have been this to Hotel from 1991 onwards when it used to be an Oberoi. The look and feel of the Hotel is almost maintained in its entirety although the branding is now the Trident. Food was great as well as the spread. Rooms were great...spacious as well as comfortable. Will return whenever we get a chance...
Nice stay at Trident Bhubaneswar”
3 Best Things”
Excellent ! Couldnt have asked more . Most Courtious and Helpful staff , Great Facilities , Greenery , Room Locations all at par with the best. Will definitely recommend to all.
Excellent Hotel ”
The stay was very peaceful. Elegant ambiance. Excellent hospitality from the Gate Security Guard to the Hotel Manager. Great Service & kindness from all the staff's. It was worth staying at the Trident Bhubaneshwar Property. Would definitely look forward to stay again.
We had to wait a pick -up car at the airport for nearly an hour until they finally found our names in their guest list. The manager came to us and apologized, but because of the delay, we started our excursion late and we were unable to reach our destination before it started raining heavily. If only we had 2 more hours, we could have taken the pictures!! All our trip became in vain because of their poor management. In addition, the room was not able to access internet. Just unbelievable it is a four star hotel.
The quietness and very attentive staff”
I really enjoyed Trident. It is sophisticated, quiet, and professional. One telling point was that a room cleaner noticed that I'd run out of toothpaste and replaced it, writing me a short note - very thoughtful. Without wishing to be critical, it felt a little like there were almost too many staff, and that they were 'tripping over each other' (metaphorically) to be of service. As an Australian visitor, I was never sure whether I was meant to tip staff or whether this was part of the service for which I'd paid (actually when I arrived I had no rupees, and I had to immediately go to an ATM across the road to get money out (the ATM was broken so I had to pay the next day). I didn't want to appear as a mean spirited westerner treating Indian people with disprespect, so I felt uncomfortable not knowing what was the right thing to do (my local university colleague then suggested that I pay the porter 50 Rp). Personally I'd just like to pay a bit extra in my hotel tariff and feel assured that the lovely staff who cared for me were being well paid. Perhaps you could indicate on your website that you are a 'Fair Employer' who pays their staff above the very low minimum wages. Overall, well done Trident: most impressive. fab hotel with a great location”
great service, good layout of the hotel but has only one coffee shop that doubles up see restaurant and breakfast place
definitely not (international standards) 5* hotel”
supposed to be a five star hotel, where they charge ad es. internet not per room but per device ( iphone, ipad, laptop).... service- room cleaning happen after 5 pm – definitely (worldwide) not even in a 3 star hotel. the room was nice with a wide window but sealed, even if the hotel was in the middle of a beautiful park we couldn’t have some air of it... just air-conditioning! restaurant: breakfast buffet- poor selection of food, fruits were unripe, despite the staff trying to do their best after 2 days get bored with no selection at all!!!!! despite the design of the hotel was nice and recalling the architecture of the ancient temples of bhubaneswar i would not overnight again in this hotel.
OK five star hotel”
for moonsoon season we got cheaper price for the 5 star facility.we were given a room with good view of swimming pool as there are not many guests at this time.service is good with relaxing swimming pool. Decor theme is the Temple carvings and scluptures, but compairing with Mayfair Lagoon,it feels a bit blend,a bit lack of character, and food are more expansive than lagoon's resturants also.
Very well located and and good servixe.”
a hotel with lots of space for lush garden, joking track and a peace full atmosphere. the staff is very humble and location of the hotel is very good.
Very elegant hotel”
The Trident Bhubaneswar is basically a business hotel but I stayed there as a tourist at New Year 2011. The hotel has a limited number of rooms (a plus) arranged in a quadrangle around the pool. The hotel is in a massive stone-built style with lots of sculptures (I even had 3 sculptures in my room). This makes for a very elegant setting. In addition, the hotel is surrounded by a very large garden (more of a park than a garden) which guarantees absolute quiet. Staff were fast and friendly and my only quibble is with the opening times of the restaurant (dinner starts at 19.30 and room service only has a limited menu in the afternoon). Were I to return to Bhubaneswar, I would definitely stay here.
clean and professionaal”
The stay was good. The service is very good to excellent. Food was expensive. Minimal access to other restaurant except to take a hotel cab which is expensive. If you are sick they can get a doctor quickly and also will get the prescription meds quickly.
Okay hotel but too far from the city centre
From the moment we entered the front door we were bombarded with great service and kindness. The staff were attentive and polite with a desire to help in very way possible. After experiencing basic accommodation or a number nights it was a delight to experience the cleanliness and comfort of the bedrooms and prepare for the sumptuous meal in the restaurant where once again the staff were courteous and efficient. This was our second visit at the Trident Hotel and shall not be the last.
