Great budget accommodation in an ideal location, within walking distance to all the sights & loads of restaurants & bars on your door stop. Apartment style with all kitchen essentials, and serviced every 3/4 days. Would recommend paying extra for upgrade to air-con apartment in summertime, as standard room did get very hot, with only a fan during hot days.
Great Hotel in an excellent location to see Lyon”
The hotel location is perfect to experience Lyon, being right in the center of the city within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping and tourist sites. The room was spacious and was well equipped. The only down side was that there was no air-conditioning, which was needed, as the summer temperatures were in the high 20s. Opening the windows did help a lot.
Great Spot in Lyon ”
We wanted self catering accommodation in Lyon and this spot was perfect! Right around the corner from the Saint Antoine Market, and nearby to boulangerie and groceries - not to mention sightseeing - this was perfect.

Closed to everything, staff is very friendly and multilingual. Very clean, breakfast is reach enough. This is aparthotel with fully completed kitchen in each room. Cons is that the room cleaning is done only in case of more then 6 nights stay. You can change towels in reception.

No AC ”
This hotel has no AC which is not acceptable in 2018. The rooms are at 30C/ 90F in July and windows cannot be left open due to the noise from the street bars right below the hotel. Very unsatisfied with this stay. Didn’t expect this from a Citadines. Won’t come back and I will certainly consider other hotels on my next business trip.
Great central location”
Great apartment with full facilities that suit well for a longer stay. Laundry was a big help, as was kitchenette. Fabulous location near restaurants, easy access to markets and transport and walking distance from Bellecour. Ideal for us.

Good. But when we stayed there, the hotel was at the end of their major renovation. The lobby was not usable and there were workmen working inside and outside the hotel. Once in your room, there is no problem. The double glazing on the windows is great and despite being in a lively area for night life, you cannot hear the noise in the room.
Nice clean functional apartment”
had 3 nights here in Lyon and the hotel/apartment was in a good location. It's self contained so gives you a good opportunity to buy your own breakfast and lunch and have it in the room. Close to local bouchons too. It's a 3 star and priced accordingly, take your own bags to the rooms, limited food options, a fridge you can actually use (no crazy priced mini bar) and coffee pod machine. bed was pretty comfy too.
I liked the hotel because it was an 8-minute walk to Cathedral St. John Baptist (where my husband and I could attend daily Masses), a few minute walk to the underground station, and located at the center of Lyon. Our room was newly renovated and very clean; kitchen was well-equipped; but unfortunately, because of the ongoing renovation, we were bothered by the installation of the carpet outside our room. Elevators were very slow. And lobby and restaurant area was not impressive.
Quiet apartment,style rooms close to everything”
Citadines is located right off the main shopping street. It's just a few blocks in, but it's silent in the rooms , the best of both worlds. We had a kitchen in the room, which was great even though we didn't need it in Lyon! There are tons of bouchons around the area, and it's a quick walk to the riverside. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wifi was great. Overall, a great place to stay.
This hotel is central located. It's a short walk to old town Lyon. It is surrounded by great restaurants, bars and shopping. It was idea for us because we could walk across the river during the day and see old town but at night we could walk out our front door and be within steps of dozens of great food options. There is a great English Pub right next door. Was a little worried about sleeping on a fold out but it turned out to be more comfortable than a lot of the other beds we slept in on our European trip. Staff was friendly and helpful, spoke great English.
Well located hotel with kitchenette”
The hotel is a bit old. Also,there are no beds, only sleep sofas, but ours was surprisingly quite comfortable. As others have mentioned, on hot nights with the windows open (and a fan blowing), it can be noisy with drinkers at the nearby cafes. It is easy to walk to Old Lyon, Croix Rousse, and wall mural sites from the hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby, as well as markets and bakeries - for your breakfast makings - as well as good ice cream. If you arrive midday, as we did, about the only place to eat is at the Hippo (Hippopotamus) Restaurant a block away, as most restaurants stopped serving lunch at 2 or 2:30. Take C13 bus from Gare Part Dieu, walk three blocks on the walking street just across from the bus stop (Rue de la Republique), turn right on Rue Tomassin, walk 2-3 blocks until you see an archway over the road with "CITADINES" written on it. You will then be home.

Terrific location. Ikea-quality furniture.. Twin beds pushed together and covered with a non-fitted bottom sheet that isn't large enough for the bed and will not stay in place. I would have difficulty awarding this hotel three stars, except for the location.

Room was unclean, the previous guest did not flush the toilet. I had to fluch snd clean the toilet when I arrived

we stayed for 4 nights but they do not make up room once and no new towel for the 4 nights.
