沒有電梯.拿著行理行樓梯 舊.洗手間沒有梳洗配備 空調聲音大 早餐要出外面餐廳吃. 酒店外面晚上什麼都沒有 黑麻麻地.非常恐怖
Interesting Hotel !!!”
I really enjoyed my couple of days at the Garden Plaza. Hotel is old with large rooms ... It also has a small pool on the roof top. Hotel is situated in a quite area however close enough to walk to the malls etc at Malate.Staff were excellent ... Would highly recommend this somewhat unusual hotel particularly those on a budget.
Impressive room and bed sizes”
It was a good experience. We didn't use the pool and we didn't eat at the Old Swiss Inn, but we liked the way the staff responded to our requests. Just let them know what you want and they'll do their best to provide.
nights at the garden plaza hotel”
my stay there was ok,if you like it dark in your room then the standard room will suite you well as there are no windows so make sure your watch is working to see what time you wake up the swimming pool is more the size of an over large bath, apart from tose 2 things its an ok hotel 2 star max
room with no windows paco church/park across road”
The room has no windows and no balcony so right there is a guarantee I would never return. Paco church/park across the road is really nice and there is a tiny rooftop pool that's nice. Staff are crappy. Didnt clean our room even with their please clean sign. There is a very expensive swiss? Restaurant downstairs that I didnt bother trying.
Hidden and long walk from Robinson's”
I booked this hotel for my girlfriend to stay at passing through. So this hotel does allow a 3rd party like myself to book for them. From her, I found she and her son enjoyed the hotel. The bed was quite comfortable and they were happy with the room size. However, the location of the hotel was not ideal as they got lost walking from Robinsons back to the hotel. The area is a bit shady and not the most honest people in the area, so she was afraid to ask strangers. I don't blame her. Shady area and a bit confusing in the dark walking from Robinsons. However, good value for the price. This hotel is also suitable for young kids as my gf brought her 4 year old year with her.
Booked for last night before flying out. Security or some other employee thought it was a good idea to have a loud conversation with a fellow guest at 3 in the morning, in the corridor. I seriously feel sorry for the 2 guys on reception. They deserve to work somewhere better than this halfway House. The Corridors have a strange and very strong smell. The rooms are tired.
Rooms for guests”
Rooms booked for Wedding guests. The rooms are clean but tired. Little know fact: The hotel restaurant has only 2 tea pots. One for people dining in and 1 for room service. Also they won't change money unless you buy something.
Close to Paco”
Picked as close to Paco park where we had our wedding reception. The Hotel needs some updating. Apart from the 2 Guys on reception and the bell boys the rest of the staff are pretty useless. There is a strange smell in the corridors and always plenty of locals lounging around in the common area's.
this hotel is not well located”
This hotel is not well located. Going out at night is dangerous. Very quiet surrounding at night. The park is next to the hotel. Getting around is not conviencent. Either take a motor tricycle or BMX bicycle cab. The hotel try to charge me 150 peso for using the internet when the internet cafe is only charging 20 peso. Of course i decline.
Friendly Staff Clean Hotel good value Hotel”
This is clean hotel tiled flooring, room clean and adequate, TV in room but no kettle for drinks. No windows in the room but good modern air conditioning. Has rooftop swim pool but very small and not exactly well maintained. This hotel is good value for money.
Good hotel with nice staff”
when we arrived at the hotel, my companion and i was greeted by a smiling face, even the guard is courteous. since my reservation was made on-line, i think that time there was a delay from agoda and they haven't received any confirmation on their part, but although that was the case they did honor the voucher and even provided me an upgrade without any extra cost. if you are looking for a hotel that is affordable yet has good people...this is the hotel to stay!u
front of park, big room”
its a short walk from the main road and a mall, farther away is the luneta park, however i would not recommend walking specially after dark. There is only one restaurant, pricey and looking like it has seen better days. There is a night club also on the lower end in terms of clientele. The pool is a little larger than a jacuzzi.
Garden Plaza 2 week stay”
I thought the hotel for the money was great and the staff was excellent and very helpful. I would stay there again in a second, but i was not sure where to stay since first time in manilla. If i had my way i would be in the center of everything so i could just walk everywhere and not have to mess with the taxi's and jeepney's. They are very good and effecient but with a bad back hopping in and out of the jeepney's often is not too good, and that is when they are full and you have to crawl up to the front of them. Overall stay was great and i thought the place and the staff was as good as they get and the price was exceptional.
i love it”
well i love the place the people there only wish i could stay longer and wish they culd get elevator there and hope to go there everytime im in manila hope to b there next year same place the beds was very soft to and the aircon was very nice and cold i would recomend the hotel to all my friends there i wont go to anyother hotel for the price but there
a pleasant experience”
this is not my first stay in the hotel. I visited my son late 2008 during his nursing affiliation duty. The place looked so cozy and friendly, and was located in a very serene environment... a place like your second home. This is why i came back. I will always stay in this place when chances permit.
The hotel staff was very friendly and professional during my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The house keeping staff was very friendly and professional. I had a couple of issues with the room and when i brought them to the hotel staff they corrected them right away. I brought a camera with me and the hotel loaned me a transformer for the room so i could charge the battery of the camera because local power is 220v. The hotel restaurant is very nice and friendly but they charge american prices for their meals.
I was very content with my usual stay at the Garden Plaza. My wife I have always enjoyed going to this Hotel because it is usually quiet even though there is a Fire Department close by. We also enjoy the area where it is located and the comfort it offers with a professional atmosphere. This year I noticed Garden Plaza offered complimentary breakfast to their guests. Sad to say this does not even qualify as continental. I stress that this false claim of compimentary breakfast statement be stricten from the internet. As a Combat Veteran I know our prisoners were treated better than only having a roll and coffee.
good place ”
I like this place because it is near the park and it is located in the old city. The places around is very beautiful and very easy for us to travel. People are very hospitable. They rendered good service.
Never ever again in this one”
The only positive feedback on this dump was that the security personnel act as bell boys. All rooms are smoking, and the hotel is actually an apartel/hotel. People drinking beer and loud music in the upstairs lobbies are a norm, and they leave their doors open, have a peek, its free. The wifi didnt work at all, and the supposed DSL lobby connection was at times slower than dial-up, and they charge you for the time used even if it doesnt work while you are on it. The rooms are big, but expect cockroaches, they come in abundance. Entrance pictures listed on net are misleading. Breakfast is always one hour late, so if you have an early flight, forget it, choose a primarily toast with small coffee 1 hr late or flight on time, We chose flight. Very poor customer service, and at times - discriminatory. I would recommend the Pearl Manila to be last choice, and would stay in the airport lobby rather than this garbage again.
My Stay at the Garden Plaza”
I would recommend this hotel because of it's location from the Manila airport. It has an upper floor w/a pool which is small but a very nice one. And I also liked the inside area w/benches and plants, a place to go relax and be inside with a very nice atmosphere. And away from the sunshine for a bit. The price was good I think for what you get. I paid $42.USD per night for 2 nights. I think it was a good price for the comfort! And the smiles I got when I checked in. Garden Plaza, I will return in 2008!! Thanks
Well where can I start room was dirty and old, towels are stained, noise and many little friends to keep you alert at night roach city. Call the front desk if they pick up phone takes 20 min... go to the desk people working but just dont pick phone, yeah they have wifi but not in room...i just wanted a clean cheap place with wifi . but i more..i thought i book room for 3 night and only did 2 only i asked to extend the day before at 6pm they said no problem i wanted to pay but they said no cashier now come tomorrow okay so i go in morning and they charge me double real nice i was stuck big rip off
Facilities require improvements”
Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights during Sept 2016. I am very disappointed that there was no wifi in the room for daily guests - i had to sit in the visitors lobby but the reception is absolutely bad. I spent more time waiting for pages to open and the wifi keep disconnecting. The fridge in the room was very old and in poor condition. Cleanliness was good. No room service, no assistance with travel (cabs, local tours).
Isolated & scarry street”
This is like an open bungalow without Air condition, except inside the room. Most of the room are without windows. The street was a makeshift for the homeless family, where they camp, cook & sleep during the night. The surrounding look scarry & isolated at night.
A sad place”
With some imagination and investment, this could make a charming boutique hotel with a courtyard garden surrounding a pool. Unfortunately, the owners have decided to cram in as many rooms as possible and turn the courtyard into a car park and utility area. Corridors leading to the guest rooms are gloomy and forbidding and many rooms have no window. The place looked to me like a serious firetrap and I worried about my safety in case a fire had broken out during the night. This is a shame, because there is so much potential here. The hotel has a great location in a quiet side street on the edge of Malate, The public areas of the hotel are quite pleasant, however guests are given no reason to linger there. Incongruously, the hotel restaurant reproduces the atmosphere of an old Swiss inn and is quite pleasant, and my breakfast was quite good, but guests are obliged to pay for meals and other purchases in cash rather than charging them to their rooms, which I found inconvenient and rather insulting
I stay at Garden Plaza several times with my husband, and we enjoyed it a lot.this time I was by myself and it was terrible. They are renovating and the pounding was rigth on top of my room,it is even hard to hear the TV the bathroom was flooded there is water coming from the wall and the shower head is off target,it is higher than the curtain so if you turn it on water is outside and flood the are.the room smells very moldy too if my husband was with me Im sure it is not going to work but because it is only me I put up with it for 2 nigths. Now I have second thought about going there nextime.
I was so disappointed. The receptionist when we arrived doesnt even smiled and didnt even gave us a warm welcome, was arrogant in asking questions and looks like that she's irritated. The swimming pool was not operational, I chose the hotel because of the swimming pool for kids to enjoy, but unfortunately the advertisement posted on your site seemed not updated. And charges on wifi applied, unlike other hotels that I've been..
Small Hotel Hidden Near Paco Park”
This hotel is a bit hard to locate if you are not familiar with Manila. It is actually located near Paco Park and very near Oasis Hotel. The rooms are so-so, but i guess that is what you get for the price. For an old hotel, its quit nice and decent and near My Kitchen & Old Swiss Inn Restaurants. The price in Agoda is a bit more expensive than if you go there directly where for the same price you get free breakfast as well. If you are a business traveler who just needs a place to stay in for the night, then this should do for the price. But if you want to go around Malate or be near public transportation, then you might want to consider another hotel.
We only stayed for a night. Our room was really outdated. I don't know if their other rooms are more updated. We also had the old type of TV (box type). The air conditioning was not as cold as it should have been (it was in the middle of summer), but I didn't mind. My husband was not happy about that though. On the plus side, Staff was great and the lobby looked nice. I didn't get to see the pool, but my husband went in it. He said it was really small. Overall, if you're only looking for a place to sleep, maybe you'll find this place ok. I don't think we're ever going back.
Pleasant hotel, large room.”
The room was big and clean, staff was friendly and capable. The hotel restaurant, was fair at best. I was refused sugar and creamer sachets for room use. Annoying, and actually soured the stay. The location is hard for most taxis to find, the local taxis are not fair drivers, not very honest. Doubtful I would stay again.
Very Big Rooms”
Lovely hotel. Swimming pool small and closed most of the time. Be sure to request room with window, otherwise you automatically will get a windowless room. The windowless room is huge, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff quite helpful with fast check in/out in operation.
Nosiy hotel/ Lots of young people”
Very noisy. Lots of workers always walking around. The taxis had a hard time finding it. there is nothing to do around the hotel/ I had to take a taxi to do anything. I didnt feel safe in the area at night. Lots of street kids begging and they are very aggresive. Dont give them anyathing it justs make it worse.
This hotel is located in a bad part of town. This hotel is use by local and tourist a like for picking up ladies. The staff were unfriendly. The room were dirty and smelly. I would highly not recommend any one to stay at this place.
Not in good location and old hotel”
not a great place to stay. on arrival hotel staff request 500 pesos deposite for use the in room safe.No tea cofee facility in room.when ask for hot water staff is not happy to hel they look face to face each other.very poor breakfast and poor service. I will not recomand this place to any one. not a great value.
A Basic Roof”
The hotel was situated within easy reach of all the local amenities and felt quite friendly, if a little sparse of staff at the time that I stayed - they did go out of their way to help me to my room in spite of the fact that I only had the one bag! Unfortunately the pool was still closed when I arrived. The room I booked (Superior) was nothing particularly special, but it was adequate for someone looking for a roof over their head, with bath/toilet/wash basin, two large beds, air con and TV facilities with various channels (for anyone interested in killing a little time). Adequate for the price .
Wonderful place to stay”
We had a great and wonderful time staying in the hotel. The staff made our stay pleasant and eventful... All the hotel staff was very accomedating to our every needs. If i have to go back again to manila, i would stay again in this hotel. It may look old on the outside... but it is clean and presentable on the inside.
The hotel overall was a good stay, ammenities included pool and gym with whirlpool and sauna. The hotel was very clean and well managed. I did not like the computer access they only give you one hour a day free internet and you have to get that from the hotel desk every day. It was a bit pricy for what you get but I would stay there again.
Decent value and convenient location, well maintained (due to an army of hotel management trainees). The neighborhood looks "iffy" at night but it's mostly colleges and 2 main aves, Taft & UN are only 5 mins walk. The plumbing worked OK but is outdated by western standards. The pool is about the size of a hot tub and was never available - a different excuse was offered each day for a week. The free breakfast is toast & 1 cup of coffee, the most minimal breakfast imaginable!
Good sized rooms within budget”
I quite liked the rooms and the budget side of the deal was what i liked the most. Affordable. The only thing that i noticed was there was no currency exchange available for the Australian Dollar so that might be a good tip for any traveller from Oz to keep some local currency handy.
this place is a real find in the hustle and bustle of metro manila. there is a large courtyard in the center of the hotel, and it lends to a quite, if old, elegant feeling. robinsons mall is not too far away, less than 1 minutes on foot, or a very short taxi ride. paco park is just next to the hotel.
This place is the pits!”
There is no possible way we would use this Hotel again even if it were free. The place was not at all clean, the service as indifferent at best and it was not at all conviently located. The food was expensive and not particularly good. The maitenance took long lengths of time for response and never fixed anything properly. All in all, it was the worst place w have ever stayed at in Manila.
If you are on a tight budget, this will do”
As a budget hotel it is hard to get too picky. The walk up stairs to your room, with your bag, could be looked at. This is not too bad after your bag is in your room, until it is time to lug your bag down for check out. The “stock take” when you arrive in your room is a novelty… you must sign for each item in the room…towels, sheets, bathmat…etc..etc. not what you want when you first arrive and the “stock take clerk” is not leaving until he has his signatures. Be careful of the “taxi scam” at this hotel. It can cost you 1000’s of pesos even more than what you paid for the room. This could not be classified as a friendly or welcoming hotel. It was reasonably clean and comfortable, however if you have the “free” included breakfast remember nothing is free.
Garden Plaza Hotel”
Location sucks, very inconvienent none of the taxi drivers had a clue where it was. First time i have had my wife ask to show her I.D. at check in, also was required to sign a room inventory sheet. Wi fi was availabe in the lobby but was at a charge of 150php per day. The free breakfast consisted of a plate of warm bread and butter, though it was very good. Room was large and clean it had two full size beds, and a ref. though it wasn't stocked. Staff wasn't very friendly. Best part was the price of beer in the KTV bar at 3 for a 100php. The food in the resturant was expensive. I wouldn't stay there again unless i just wanted a place to rest and nothing else.
There are little cockroaches that sometimes show up. They dont have a gym, health club or fitness center at the hotel, but in the neighboorhood. It is not free internet. They have nicer areas in Manila or Makati that you can stay. You can live without the Old Swiss Inn Breakfast... some toasts, butter and gelly. Taxis that stay in front of the hotel usually dont use taximeter and are over priced.
A night at the Garden Plaza”
A pleasant stay for a night, cost was very reasonable and the food in the restaurant was very good. The free breakfast was just bread and coffee. The room was spacious but very badly lit giving the appearance of being dingy, needed some painting here and there but was basically clean. Taxi driver could not find it and taxis outside hotel were not metered. Overall a good stay for a short time but not too good for a longer stay.
A so-so hotel stay”
Breakfast is forgettable. Location is too far out it is almost impossible to go anywhere on foot. Taxis at the hotel lobby do not go by meter and they tends to charge a flat rate which is often much higher. Room is dull and the moment i step into it, it almost put me to sleep and with 3 faulty lamps, it made it worse.
Facilities are poor”
I shortend the staying period and changed the hotel one day after arriving. The airport taxi could not find the hotel even after I showed him the map. Also my friend faced the same trouble when he visited the hotel.
Worst hotel ever ”
This was the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in in the Philippines. It was dirty and the paid staff were very unfriendly. Once I had managed to speak to the managment, it was confiremed that the floor in the room had never been properly cleaned other than dry sweeping, that the ceiling had never been cleaned in any way, that they don't supply gas for the kitchenette gas rings. I highly recommend that no one goes near this place.
No wifi in rooms was a big minus.
Ideal property for private meetings & accomodation”
it is qiet and comfortable room”
it is nice to stay there i can bring my sister there,or friends near in robinsons, nice staff and very quiet And very comfortable room..
The hotel is has a nice location but the hotel is a bit old.
Good Hotel - very central - clean”
at this area you will have a very good nightlife with a lot of good bars. maybe it is better to go to makati if you want to make a shopping trip. nice staff - very clean - pool outside
Better place to stay in manila”
It is a very good hotel to stay at. The staff are very accomodating and hospitable. The hotel is very clean and organize. It is also near the transportation and business area.
Garden Plaza is a good deal for the money.”
Good value for the money. A little far to go places in Manila without a car.
nice and comfortable”
the room is enough for us, clean. Very friendly staff and good food
I love this hotel”
I stay there a lot while in Manila, staff are always so helpful and nice, close to everything for me and at a good price, see you all again soon
I enjoyed staying at Garden Plaza, Staff all grea”
being a plumber -I could see a few plumbing maintanence jobs needed doing.
same words as b4
Visit from Davao”
The continental breakfast was simple and good. We arrived very late at night and had no problem with late check-in. Agoda notified the hotel and everything went smoothly.
Worst not worth it”
No free water everyday, The pool is small. There are rats in the ceiling. Very noisy staff in the hallway..
Not worth the money
Staff helpful, friendly. Green leafy park opp”
First night was in standard room, NO window, upgraded to superior room, worth it.Find somewhere else to eat and good taxi drivers out on street to help with day trips at reasonable rstes.
Ok but would not go back.
Not great, but fine
just sooo dull and drab”
Such a drab and lifeless place, the staff where disinterested the guests looked boored, the computer in reception did not work and the staff didnt care. I only stayed here with my old man.
Old and not accessible enough”
old hotel, TV remote not working, staff not alert
The shower was but a trickle of water. It looks nice from the outside. But, the rooms are not worth the money.
