great bang for buck but middle-of-nowhere location”
Surprised at how spacious, modern, clean and comfortable this flat was. Great to work out of or even to entertain big group since very big. Pool was old but great faciility. Oly trouble is in a town without much cabs, this location is hard to find (due to road closures nearby) and very far from public transpore. Getting my driver to find this place last few days was difficult each time. Otherwise, great value for an otherwise close option by the ferry terminal.
cheap but get the luxurius room such an apartment”
will stay there again
Convenient for Nansha ferry terminal and port”
Chinese food is often not to western tastes (including mine). The alternate western menu was poor. The surrounding area is under development and so is off the (western) tourist trail - virtually nothing around, but a small mall opposite where you can buy pot noodles (saved me) and chocolate etc. The in hotel cafe had a poor offering and only opened at 1430. There is no room service. Staff were ok, but standard of English was not good. Wi Fi was appallingly slow. There is another choice nearby (the Grand). Twice the price and MUCH noisier with lots of very LOUD people. Pays your money and takes your choice. If you are on a budget this will be ok.
Adequate but remote”
Rooms were adequate and clean, but breakfast buffet didn't open early enough. Exceptions were not possible. Lunch packet provided was sub-standard.
overall not bad”
Stayed in this hotel for a business trip so I hardly spent time in the hotel aside from when I came back to sleep, shower and have breakfast. overall, a good hotel.
Very convenient location for taking ferry to HK”
Obviously this is a professional long stay hotel, but was perfect for my wife and I on our last night of a fantastic Chinese journey. Overall this was the best value for money of the 6 places we stayed in China. The location is great for getting to the Nansha to HK ferry. Be aware that the port of HK customs entry is very busy and not well organized. It was the worst line in all of China, and that's saying something. It took more than twice as long to get from the ferry through customs as it did for the boat to get from Nansha to HK. The room was very modern and spacious with a great view of the bay, the nature park and the mountains all around through the floor to ceiling windows. The room was very clean and fresh. Be careful when you book to ask for a non-smoking floor, as there are only a few in this 22 floor high rise, and the smoke on the smoking floors is very heavy. The amenities of the hotel (pool, gym, restaurant) are fantastic. Nansha is a very calming alternative to the chaos of GuangZhou. The "free" shuttle/limousine to the ferry cost 20 yuan, and we could have walked as it's only about 1/4 of a mile. We took the metro from the CAN airport (it's most northern point) to Nansha (it's most southern) in about 1.5 hours. A taxi would have been very expensive, but the metro only cost 14 yuan each. Make sure to have the address for the hotel written in Chinese, as the taxi drivers at the Nansha metro station will not be able to find the hotel with only the english/pinyin address and name. It is about 5 miles from the metro to the hotel, so walking is not an option.
