Overall a nice boutique hotel just outside the city walls.”
Very filling complimentary Japanese breakfast along with cereal or toast options. Wish there was more furniture or luggage rack to put luggage on instead of the floor. Bathroom needs better ventilation
Japanese feel-like place, close to CNX”
The place is located at near Chiangmai airport. So convenient when traveling back. However, it is a bit far from everywhere else if you want to go to cafes or markets. The room was fine but not that comfy. It was a bit musty. On top of that, breakfast was not good at all. Overall, it is fairly livable for the last day of the trip.
The hotel is so well designed. I like all things here. Really valuable for the price. It’s a pity we didn’t have a chance to try the onsen, next time we won’t miss it. But we still had tried the wood bathtub inside our room, also had a good time with it. Nice staffs, they are so friendly and kind. Breakfast was delicious, we love it. Will go back again!

Best place to stay in Chiang Mai”
Found the listing for Haikin Ryokan in agoda, wasnt too sure at first as it has limited number of review but I chose this place anyway because the limited review were all good. Turned out, the lack of review was because the place is new. The place is nice and clean. The staffs were all very friendly and accommodating. Really great location, love the Saturday night market. I had a really great time and I'm glad I chose Haikin Ryoukan, will be back again for sure.
PS: Make sure to speak to the friendly owner, Jessica. She's super friendly! =)

This is Cold Onsen!!”
It's looks like a general Onsen with Hot bath! But the big bath in picture is Cold Onsen! on both Women & Men Bath Rooms Actually they have a little poor wooden bath for hot mineral water. So if you would like to rest in Japaneses style worth it. But If you want to try Onsen Go to find another Hostel
Pros: they have onsen, looks nice but I wonder about the hygiene, not clear instruction from the staffs but very relaxing. Bed is super comfortable, room is clean with japanese bathtub. Decoration is japanese style.
Cons: very weak wifi, breakfast is super simple, pricey compared with the facilities, staffs didnt give me any instruction for onsen
Good place and good price”
Private onsen + staffs + breakfast are really good
Unique experience in Chiang Mai”
If you're looking for something different in your Chiang Mai stay then Haikin Ryoken is definitely that. From the look and feel of the rooms, to the Japanese style bathroom, the interesting breakfasts and the in-house onsen, there isn't another hotel like it in the city. Added to this is the attention to service provided by Tanya at the front desk, who provided advice, assistance and help along with making the stay seem extra special for my two young daughters - both of whom can't wait to go back.

Nice Cosy hotel.”
A lovely boutique hotel with a Japanese theme. Breakfast is simple Japanese fare. Staff are friendly and there is a pet dog which we invited it to our hotel room... :-).. Saturday night market is just right in front of the market and we bought some interesting handicrafts. A hotel which we will returned to stay in the near future.
Friendly host, but lack of cleanliness ”
Blanket hasn't been changed before our Arrival, which was clearly recognizable. Staff changed it after our complaint. Size of Rooms and Bath rather small. Unfortunately a very very hot Building, thus AC was necessary. Cleanliness wasn't satisfying at all. Pro: the breakfast, although limited choice.
Wouldn't stay again. There're better places for less money in Chiang Mai.
nice & helpful staff, onsen did not work, do not stay on Sat. if you have a car.”
Stay 2 nights. The only impressive thing is a service of their staff. Did not try Onsen as staff mentioned that a heater did not work(seem like it happened before we go but has not solved yet, without any notice, despite onsen is a reason I chose here, shame!) a 2nd night was Satturday, we have to drive back to hotel before a street closed for a night market set up (around 3.30pm, too early! But we noticed that from review) the surprise thing is we have to park our car in improper lot (a narrow lane and have another cars park inside) cuz they use a parking lot for sell a things on Sat. night (we have to come down to move a car after 11:30 pm as mentioned, there were another cars park inside, if we don’t move a car , of course they will not be able to drive out. Really made us feel inconvenient and always question to ourselves why we paid for such an inconvenient thing. This is our holiday!!!

Bathroom in one of our booked family rooms was a little bit dusty. Rather than that everything else is fine.
