Room not ready. No response about dinner reservation from catering services. Terrible service in bar”
Nice breakfast after ten - fifteen minute wait.
Very expensive £209 for one night. Others paid £116.
Always very long queues at check in . Only two desks open. This was opening day for a large and a small conference. They really did not seem to care.
Friends meal, a salad took forever to come. Wrong delivery, no cutlery and three wait persons involved. Very bad management.
Then her meal was put on my bill!
Not good enough. Hotel is too big.
Money taken in April. Was that you or them?
On the whole very disappointing as dining is a very important part of any hotel stay!”
Although the 99% of the hotel staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, dining at the hotel was a disaster- the wait to order food in all areas was unacceptable as was the wait for the ordered food to arrive. The dining room actually managed to loose our food order and this they only realised this after one and a quarter hours and therefore it took almost two hours to see food on our table. I have to say that the waiter was very apologetic and our bottle of wine was given free. The bar area for breakfast being worst experience. The Manager there on Friday morning can only be described as rude and arrogant. He blatantly hurried to service tables of his choice and ignored other tables that had been waiting far longer for his attention. You could quite see that his young waitress was embarrassed and distressed by his attitude and worked twice as hard to make up for his lack of attention and pomposity.
OK but not my preferred site”
Wanted Genting Hotel so stayed here 1 night; better to stay at Genting as the facilities and price is better
Fab hotel and the breakfast was awsom but the room was a bit dated and not dusted ”
The breakfast options were awsom and the bar area and food was gud but the room let it down
Very poor reception staff”
Staff on reception was extremely rude and patronising, I wanted to pay my parking the next day and not on check in so she said well good look in the cue tomorrow and smirked then walked off. I called her back and asked which way is my room and she said it’s on your Kay,,,lol shame as it’s a lovely hotel
Not as good as I expected ”
Reception staff and bar staff very friendly and helpful. Woman at the door of breakfast buffet seemed miserable and looked annoyed when I asked for a knife and fork. Good pool and gym but more signs needed to let you know how to get to the pool etc. Room a lot smaller than I imagined. Really hot too. Struggled to sleep. Drinks on the pricey side too.
Don’t bother ordering food!!”
After a long day at an exhibition we ordered food at 6.40pm at 8.20pm still nothing. The order wasn’t put into the kitchen until 7.40pm and it still didn’t come. We gave up in the end. Previously we had paid for breakfast when we stayed here but there wasn’t any, the staff couldn’t seem to refill the buffet. Also, no internet signal at all in the room which wasn’t very useful for work!!
Queen Accessible Deluxe
Location is perfect if you are going to the NEC, and you cannot fault the staff who were perfectly pleasant. However don't expect a usual Hilton room. It cost us £175 for one night with no breakfast (which cost £25 for one person for a full English, crazy). The bed and room was well below usual Hilton standard, and the TV reception was like something from the mid 90s. There was an outside balcony which I asked if I could vape from, I couldn't (no problem) but then had to deal with someone smoking and the smell coming into the room when we opened the door for fresh air in the morning.
I don't have a problem staying in cheaper hotels, if they are cheap! I just think the price of service should reflect the quality of the room and breakfast should definitely be included.
I had a deluxe twin room to share with a friend and it didn't look like a 4 stars hotel's room.
No complimentary bottles of water, no slippers or bathrobes and not even toiletries for each guest. The bath looked really old and stained, really difficult to regulate water temperature. It would need a refurbishment. Not what you would expect in a 4 stars hotel.
Definitely not going back there another time, as it's not good value for money. You can find cheaper and better modern 3 stars hotel with breakfast included.
The indoor swimming pool looked lovely but there was a waiting list to use it, so I gave up.
Substandard room, damp carpet, potential health hazard. Overall high prices and parking extra £12 per night. Nice pool, limited gym. Food from bar also mediocre quality for price. Staff approachable.
Great hotel but food and drink is way over priced ”
Had a good time but £11 for a fish finger butty or £5.15 for a beer is a joke. The room was great apart from the TV picture was bad like an old TV. The hdmi and scart sockets dont work either also £29 for 3 days of wifi not gonna happen ever
Good exhibition site hotel”
Great breakfast. More care needs to be taken on room maintenance and cleaning. Also room was too cold despite turning AC up to max temp. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We were visiting the NEC and the location was excellent.
Staff Awesome, Room Meh...”
Our window was broken, it opened only 5 cm for fresh air and the bottom was damaged causing a constant draft.
The concierge and Security manager were amazingly helpful when I needed to get ahold of the airport immediately!
Terrible the staff were rude and not helpful. The room didn't even look like it had been cleaned.
Staff were excellent , rooms were clean, breakfast was very good
It was a last minute booking so had no choice , had to take what was available. Enjoyed the stay except considered it very expensive for the type of twin bed rooms we had. Very small single beds (on wheels) , furniture & fittings very dated, & hall & room had a stale smell. The Safe refused to work, no water or refrigerator in the rooms. At best a 3 star. Rooms were spotless . Breakfast excellent but long queues for breakfast & hot food. Reception staff & conseigue staff were excellent .
When at NEC , Stay at Hilton Metropole”
Location , Buzz , Breakfast
I was told there is a free shuttle to the airport every 20 minutes round the clock. However , I had to pay GBP 6 to the "Taxi driver" who drove me there !
